Partner Loves it
Bought it as a give for my partner who makes lots of cocktails and has found it to add to his drinks. It was quite difficult removing the ice from the tray at first after a few tests on trying to remove the cubes from the tray with minimal damage to the cubes and the unclear edge was easy enough to melt off.

Excellent clear ice maker…
This product is very well made, robust materials and easy to take apart. I followed the instructions and found that it works well, however one cube is always bigger than the others. This isn’t really a problem as you can carve it down to size or chop up for mixing ice. Easy to get the ice out you just place in warm water for 5 mins, the poppers are a neat touch to make it easier to extract. The ice is really clear and great in an Old Fashioned or Negroni. I use filtered water, boiled once and allowed to cool slightly. Place in freezer (don’t turn up too much) for 24 hours. I would give 5 stars if there wasn’t the issue with the larger cube. Other than that a really good piece of kit if you want to up your cocktail game.

Did not produce clear ice cubes
Ease to use, but just didn't work. It's meant to use directional freezing to ensure the cubes are clear, but in practice the insulation was insufficient to prevent the bottom of the tray freezing at the same time as the top, which meant cloudy ice cubes. Somewhat clearer than regular ice cubes; but not actually clear.

It's kind of works
It can make clear ice, but it is not as straight forward as the marketing materials make it seem. What works for me:I pour boiling water inside the water basket, wait for it to cool for 10-15min, then insert the mold and put it in the freezer for 24 hours. One of the ice cubes is always double in size and not clear. The other 3 are clear or they have a small amount cloudiness on the bottom.I use the left over not clear ice to make crushed ice.

Exceeds expectations!
Very pleased with this little addition to the home bar.First trial run was something of a mistake on my part, so I'm expecting even better results next time, when I've used it properly.I used plain tap water, unfiltered in a reasonably hard water area and mistakenly left it in the freezer for around 30 hours, instead of 24. That said, the results were very good. Three cubes came out almost completely clear, one had overexpanded (I guess due to excessive freezing). The small amount of colouration on the three good ones was generally at the bottom of the cube and could be rinsed/scraped off.I'm really very pleased with this. The quality is very good, rubber inserts are a decent grade and the overall fit into the foam tray is snug. Very snug, in fact, so do give it a good rinse to release when you're ready to get the cubes out.Not the cheapest of items for essentially an ice cube tray... But if you're wanting to upgrade your cocktail ice, I would certainly take a look at this.

Hmmmmm
Is it easy to use? Erm, yeah, you put water in it, put it in the freezer, and it turns to ice (takes a little practice filling to the right level though to avoid the ice freezing up and out of the tray which then doesn't resemble a square). Is the ice clear? Erm, ish. Nowhere near as good as the other more expensive models, but an ok cheap alternative. I guess you get what you pay for.

Compact clear ice maker for those without the room (or time) to use the cooler & cut method
My experience thus far is that the system will make 3 near perfect clear ice cubes, and 1 over expanded cloudy ice cube. Those 3 usable cubes will have slight marring at the bottom where the drain holes probably interfere with a clean flow of trapped air bubbles. For most users, this is a great experience, and the system is really compact so minor flaws are just fine with me. I've churned out 12 cubes in a couple of days which suits my needs fine. All left over ice (bottom reservoir and over-expanded cube) has lots of clear areas that can be chipped into chunky mixing ice.The downside side is the over-expansion of that one compartment, which if it happens regularly, cuts the ice yield but again - perfectly usable for mixing instead of cloudy small cubes. I think this happens because with multiple compartments, ice expansion during freezing needs an escape route, and the least frozen compartment gets the overflow, rather than being spread across the entire surface area.Removal requires a 4-5 minute soak of the inner white container in warm (not boiling) water from the tap. Easily removed thereafter, and bagged for later. All in all, if you need a compact system with a reasonable yield, this is perfect. If you need absolute perfection and greater yield, you're going to need a cooler, more space in the freezer, and an idea of how to cut ice to size.

Not a science experiment!
Bit expensive for what it is, but works well. Slight cloudiness at the vents but you know... it's not a science experiment is it?
