Hi, This should be fine for orchids. try to keep away from the roots.

Q: Will RHS bug and mildew control get rid of sawfly

In my experience, no. It kills nothing at all - I watched mealy bugs and greenfly walking around in it, happy as can be. Some fell off when sprayed, but I think water in a mister would have been more effective, since the liquid seemed about the same and the spray was not that powerful.

Q: Does it prevent black spot on roses?

No discernible effect on blackspot but very effective indeed on powdery mildew.
