Soft Carpet Upright Vacuum Cleaner

FANTASTIC vacuum for lush/thick/long/plush carpet.Long story: We got new carpet for two entire floors of our house and splurged on the quality-soft and thick. However, when we went to vacuum with our old unit, it was nearly impossible to push the thing across the carpet even on the highest setting. So I started researching vacuums specifically for plush carpet. I refused to pay $600 for a flipping vacuum, so we decided to try a soniclean and are so glad we did! It glides across our carpet so easily. It’s performance is wonderful! It even does a decent job on our hardwood and tile floor.Pros: vacuum plush carpet with ease, 1 setting for plush carpets and 1 for hard floors and low pile areas, lightweight but a workhorseCons: for what you pay for it, there aren’t any hose attachments or anything so it’s not the only vacuum you can have.Would I buy this one again? Definitely yes!!!

We moved into a new house about a year ago. Both the living room and dinning room had beautiful deep pile carpet. Our “tried and true” Oreck did the best it could plowing through the thick pile until we started to smell burning motor! Our only other option was to use the central vac system that came with the house. Talk about a royal PITA! My wife hit max frustration levels over the holidays trying to keep up with the vacuuming. As any good husband that knows - her frustration will flow down hill, so I set out to solve this issue once and for all.After massive amounts of on-line research I finally wound up at the Soniclean website. Another couple of hours researching customer reviews and I thought, what the heck - $400 is cheap if I can make her happy. I wound up ordering the vacuum from Soniclean’s Amazon store since it was the exact same price as on their website and I could get it delivered in 4 days. The vacuum actually arrived a day early!The assembly was completed in less than 5 minutes (super simple). It’s a great looking unit and kind of reminds me of a fancy sports car. But I digress - and off on its maiden voyage it went. I was keenly focused on my wife’s face as she pushed the vacuum across the deep pile carpet. The smile on her face was truly a sight to be seen. The vacuum did a great job and without the struggle of either the Oreck or the central vac. She is 100% happy with the usability and the performance of the new vac.So I’m a hero, at least for the next day or two, and very happy to have solved this problem. The vacuum bags aren’t cheap, approx. $6.00 per bag, so we’ll have to see how that works out long term. And, as with all appliances like this, reliability is key and that will have to be evaluated over time. For now, we are BOTH very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone fighting with deep pile carpets - it will truly change your vacuuming experience.

Love how lightweight this is compared to our last vacuum that was all plastic everything with hoses and attachments. This is just a simple upright vacuum with none of the other stuff. I'd call it old school but it has some cool features, like the vibration setting to help loosen dirt that sits deep in the carpet. It also has an indicator for when the bag is full and the bags have a unique system so they won't release dirt when you change them. The suction is adjustable via some grates on the front that you can easily open or close to fit your carpet. This does work on hardwood and tile, but make sure you turn off the vibration first. If you have thick carpet, this vacuum is amazing. If you need all the frills and hoses and attachments, it's not for you. The filters and bags are all HEPA as well and we have a Golden Retriever so this does well with pet hair. No tangles yet after a few months and still on the first bag even with running it 4x a week. There is an option for it to release a scent as you vacuum and you get a free one in the box. It honestly worked the first time right out of the package and then we never smelled it again. Overall, we love this vacuum!

Can't give a definitive review yet since we just got it. So far, I love it. We had a Dyson from Costco when we got our new "soft" carpet and found out that it would probably damage the carpet and the warranty might possibly be nullified. We had already returned a Hoover which would barely move, even on our old carpet. The Dyson was hopeless. Thank Heavens Costco would take it back. We were trying to stay with a vacuum approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute so were delighted to see their Seal of Approval on this vacuum. We had looked at many, searched the internet and even brought another model home from a dealer to try out. Finally took a chance on this one. It is very attractive, easy to use. I have back problems so really appreciate that it is light and maneuverable. It seems to be well made and the bag fits snugly so that dust cannot escape. I am optimistic that we are going to be very pleased with this vacuum. I am okay with the fact that it does not have inboard tools since we have a little canister vac for dusting. I found that the uprights always fell over when you tried to use a long hose for dusting. I will update if we have problems.
