The product itself seems good. We've had it in service for a month. The base metal is steel which tops plastic, zinc, and aluminum as far as strength is concerned.The item is painted, poorly with bubbles. The item ships inside a plastic bag with the 4 attachment screws loose inside the bag. So put 2 of these with nothing separating them inside a paper Amazon envelope and they are going to have scratches, dings, and dents pretty much all over. We had a deadline and they got a fresh coat of black Krylon Industrial Enamel after being sanded. With a plastic bag to contain the screws and proper shipping (A BOX!) , the buyer wouldn't have to refinish a brand new product.

I find the longer stem more user friendly

This is the one to get as its mounting rod is much longer than all the other similar products. This makes a huge difference. Especially in having to set up quickly for live gigs.I have been using electronic drums for 20+ years. Why Roland makes their mounting rod so short and nearly unusable I don't know.

Perfect for my ddrum ddti midi drum trigger module. It came with screws and they fit the module.

Looks sturdy, an overpriced piece of metal. The shaft is 4.25" long, 2in longer than the plastic piece that came with my Strike module. However it's too thick, 7/8" in diameter and cannot fit into normal edrum clamps. 3/4" would have fit, it's such a little (annoying) difference, makes me feel disappointed as now I'm forced to buy another piece of hardware. it came without screws.
