Since I'm in the US and Healthcare is a business here, and I'm grossly under insured just to get the insurance I can, I have to be careful about how often I go to the doctor. I did have some rx left over that wasn't expired yet and that rx only worked half the time when my monthly decided to freak out. Freak out as in so bad I would almost faint, I slept a lot, I was so weak, couldn't stand for more than a couple of min, felt like I was giving birth to clots the size of an adult's fist and it would last WEEKS. It happens around twice a year. My only cure is a hysterectomy according to my doctor. But I can't afford my high deductible at the moment. I took my rx and it slowed things, but made me feel like I was dying from weakness and bloating. So I stopped and the hemorrhaging ramped back up. Bleed to death and feel OK but weak or feel like dying and only half the blood. Sigh. So I tried this. The label directions aren't the same as the directions on the product page. So I followed the label directions and took 3 of the regular pills. Within a couple of hours it slowed significantly but I didn't feel bloated. I saw another review here that said to use the fact acting stuff, so I ordered that. While waiting for the fact stuff to come in, the bleeding came back with a vengeance. I started the fact acting bottle as soon as it came in. Within 24 hours, only an occasional clot here and there would occur and I felt energetic and not bloated. Within 36 hours the nightmare ended and I'm free. The pills are massive and there's no real after taste. I feel better taking them with a bit of food and about 8oz of water. Usually pills don't set well with my sensitive stomach, but these did just fine, no issues. The value for the money is good, because it's cheaper than feeling like you're dying, changing feminine products every half an hour, doing emergency laundry every day, or getting surgery in the US. I don't know if this is a long term fix as this is only my first time trying it. But if you're in a tough spot like I was, I just wanted to say it worked. And for what it's worth, I'm usually a naysayer about herbal/ homeopathic remedies. Like I really did try this because I had no other hope or obtainable options. I'm so happy and appreciative that this was available. Thank you!

Peri-menopause is not for the weak. For me, it meant extremely heavy bleeding that pretty much debilitated me for 7 days out of every 26 days. After going through this for a few years, I became Anemic and extremely worn down, despite taking Iron and trying to eat specifically for this condition. Gynecologist prescribed hormones which did nothing for the bleeding and caused all kinds of other problems. All the doctors said my next step was a hysterectomy (the path that both my mother and my grandmother trod around this time in their lives). Luckily, a few months ago I saw a Naturopath who recommended Slow Flow. I don't think it's exaggerating too much to say this product saved my life (at least my ability to actually live it). For those wondering how to take Slow Flow, my Naturopath recommended 3 caps in the am and and 3 caps in the pm during flow. Personally, I found I didn't need to take it during the entire cycle. Also, if you are only going to take it once a day, I would recommend taking it at night. What a relief not to get up 5 times during the night! My experience was that it started working within the hour and had both a short-term and long-term effect. The first month I took 3 caps twice a day for the first 3 days of my period. My bleeding was reduced to about 25% of what it had been. I was stunned. I was hopeful, but also a little worried that it might be a fluke. The second month, my first day was light (before it typically started in flood range and escalated from there). On the second day I went ahead and took 3 caps twice a day. I didn't really need more--had an actually normal period. The third month I didn't take any and still had a normal period. Blood tests show that my Anemia is resolved. I will try to keep this updated to show if it continues to work. I notice in the comments that many of the people with positive reviews state that they are in Peri-menopause, so perhaps it is particularly helpful for that. I am grateful that I did not have to have invasive surgery and that I have regained my life. I owe it to Slow Flow. If I could, I would give this product 100 stars. UPDATE: More than a year later and SlowFlow is still working great for me. I take it for the first few days during heavy periods: 2-3 tabs in the morning and 2-3 tabs in the evening. At this point, I find I can often skip a whole month, but if I need it, I know it's there for me and that it WORKS. I have found that upping the Vitamin K in your diet is also helpful (kale, cabbage, greens, broccoli).

I don’t typically leave reviews, but this product deserves one! I only get 2-4 periods a year so when I do get them, they are heavy, to the point of not being able to function and sometimes not even able to leave the bathroom for hours on end. They also usually last about 2 weeks. I’ve seen doctors and been put on different medications to try to curb that and nothing has worked. Not only did this decrease my flow to a normal level that I could function with, it also ended my period a week sooner than it usually ends. I now call this my miracle drug. If you’re struggling with your flow, definitely give this a try!

I’m only giving this product 4 stars for now because I want to continue to see how it works but as of now i’m so happy that I found this product !! Since the year has started i’ve been having week/month long heavy periods, which is very new for me. I went to the Doctor multiple times and they put me on birth control to regulate my period but i was left with no answers and was so depressed. After finding this product i used it for about 4 to 5 days and 2 of the days i took 3 in the morning and 3 capsules at night and I haven’t seen any bleeding, my cycle only lasted 9 days this cycle which is way better than a entire month so i’m so grateful but i will continue to use this product and come back with another review. good luck ladies !

I dont know why I bought this stuff - snake oil really. Does nothing.

Helps with period flow that is sometimes much to heavy.

This does not help women with menstrual issues or people who suffer from dysfunctional uterine bleeding, but it's good for women with normal periods or short heavy periods.
