I feel like the Valkeen is Molten's Competitor to Fox 40's Sonik Blast. Both whistles boast a loud sound that projects. In the end, I think the Valkeen comes out on top. The Valkeen is very loud and full, that's expected. It's fuller than the Sonik Blast, and a bit more responsive. This makes it superior all around. Now, this is more expensive than the Sonik Blast, but it is worth it. The higher price tag is justified by a quicker response, more versatility (as long as you blow it correctly, you can use it indoors if you need to get someone's attention - maybe you're in a school as the gym coach?), and being easier to use. Unlike the Sonik Blast, this has an easier design (you can always find which direction is up). This is also a lot more durable due to it having more metal parts unlike the Sonik Blast. I mainly use this whistle as a crossing guard whistle (which you'd need to be a bit loud), and calling kids in from recess, and it's not failed me. It's tough to ignore. I highly recommend this over the Sonik Blast!

Husband is a soccer ref. Says it’s best whistle he’s ever used. Normally he uses a Fox 40 but hasn’t since he received this one. Now the Fox is his backup. Finger grip variety ensures proper fit. Design works well with finger grip and thumb placement. Loud. Different tone from most other refs so players know when the whistle comes from their field. He says it’s worth every penny.

One of the best referee whistles on the market but it is VERY loud. The flip grip is a huge plus, you can still use a pen or pencil to write stuff while holding it.

This whistle is the best I’ve seen out there. The sound quality absolutely superb and value for money is top notch. It provides the quality sound needed for passing the message across to soccer players on the field; it commands respect and that players know when they’ve committed an atrocious card-able offense. It’s very durable and sturdy and the functionality doesn’t have any other competition out there. Will buy this all day any day. Highly recommend to anyone!!

Best sounding whistle

The best whistle ever. I can never go back to anything cheap again.

I will admit that the transaction felt sketchy as others have also stated. Was worried when item shipped but no tracking information was available. Contacted seller and received an incomprehensible broken English email. In the end I received the whistle in 2 weeks, which considering it comes from Japan is pretty good! The whistle itself is impressive. As a soccer referee, I always look for something that is going to be LOUD, and I am happy to report that players within 8 yards or less from you, when you blow this whistle, will cover their ears and cringe. I even broke up a fight before it even started by running between two players and repeatedly blowing the whistle. Very effective!!! =D

Simply the best in the business. Used by the best referees in the world - Cuynet Cakir, Felix Brych, Bjorn Kuipers and more for good reason! Very easy to change the tone of the whistle and to signal multiple blasts. The finger grip is also superb and a very good upgrade over the traditional wrist lanyard. The fact that the whistle is that much more expensive also means that you are much more likely to be the only official to use it in your league - working as an advantage helping you to stand out even further! A full blast before KO to signal the captains and a sharp signal to start each half tells everyone around you just who's in charge! £44 approx might seem a bit steep for a whistle but this whistle is of the highest class and is excellent value for money.

Il fischietto rispetta le caratteristiche descritte. È molto potente e fa sentire tutti i decibel che dichiara. Forse il materiale, nella parte che va in bocca, poteva essere protetto meglio dall'aggressione dei denti. Tutto sommato è il miglior fischietto attualmente in circolazione, e devo dire che ne ho provati tanti.

Das wichtigste zuerst: Diese Pfeife ist extrem laut! Dem Hersteller zufolge soll sie 125 dB erreichen (zum Vergleich: wer den Pfiff der bekannten FOX40 kennt - diese kommt laut Hersteller auf 115 dB. Die Valkeen legt hier noch einmal 10 dB drauf). Nachdem ich ursprünglich die ACME T2000 bestellt, dann jedoch festgestellt habe, dass diese Pfeife leider weit hinter den Erwartungen zurückbleibt, bestellte ich eine der wohl beliebtesten Pfeifen, die FOX40 classic. Sie ist im Vergleich zur T2000 um Welten besser. Sie ist deutlich lauter und hat einen schärferen, sowie saubereren Klang. Die Molten Valkeen setzt noch einmal eins drauf und zwar in jeder Hinsicht. Sie ist m. E. sehr hochwertig verarbeitet (die Typenbezeichnung, sowie die Freqenzbereiche sind in ein Metallplättchen - vermutlich Aluminium - eingelassen) und macht zudem einen sehr robusten Eindruck. Das was eine gute Pfeife, insbesondere wenn sie im Sport eingesetzt werden soll, ausmacht: der Klang. Sie klingt ähnlich der FOX40, jedoch m. M. n. noch ein wenig lauter. Was deutlich auffällt ist zudem, dass der Pfiff wesentlich schärfer und sauberer ist, als bei der FOX und diese hat schon einen sehr guten und durchdringenden kaum zu überhörenden Klang. Die Molten Valkeen dürfte selbst für Schiedsrichter, die bei der Fußball WM in einem riesigen Stadion pfeifen geeignet sein, da ihr Pfiff unüberhörbar ist. Nach ein paar "Test-Pfiffen" klingelten mir ordentlich die Ohren und ich bin sicher, dass man diese Pfeife auch in großer Entfernung (> 1 km) noch wahrnehmen kann. Ich überlegte aufgrund des sehr hohen Preises nur 4 Sterne zu vergeben, da über 40 € für ein einfach gesagt sehr lautes Stück Kunststoff - wenn auch ein sehr hochwertiges - doch sehr viel ist. Dafür erhält man aber auch eine erstklassige Pfeife, die einfach unüberhörbar ist. Sie dürfte durchaus bei Profis Anwendung finden, sofern man denn bereit ist einen hohen Betrag für eine Pfeife auszugeben. Als Zubehör liegt ein verstellbares Pfeifenband bei, sowie drei unterschiedlich große Handflipgrips, mit deren Hilfe sich die Pfeife leichter halten lässt. Auch können Notizen gemacht werden, ohne die Pfeife aus der Hand nehmen zu müssen. Wem eine Pfeife vom Kaliber FOX40 o. ä. nicht ausreicht, oder wer einfach eine hochwertige Pfeife haben möchte, deren Pfiff sofort jedes Spiel zum Stillstand bringt und auch in der letzten Ecke eines großen Stadions noch zu hören sein dürfte, ist mit der Molten Valkeen bestens beraten.
