I've used both comfrey root and leaf poltices when necessary for soft tissue injuries and a hairline fracture with excellent results. But when I took a nasty fall and broke 2 ribs and bruised another I needed comfrey I could walk around with. Seeing that this salve contains comfrey root, which is the stuff to heal broken bones, I gave it a try.After 8 weeks of three times daily application my x-rays showed complete healing of the fractures. Ribs ordinarily take longer to heal than lets say an arm or leg fracture, so I was quite surprised that they had finished healing.The salve itself is odorless, quite thin, but isn't runny when you apply it. Just use a small amount and rub it into the injury, let it absorb and wear something like an old t-shirt to keep from staining your clothes, as the salve contains oil as part of its base.

I bought this because my daughter strained her ankle and she had to wear a boot. I applied it on her for a week and she healed quickly. I am a massage therapist and I recommend comfrey salve to my clients who strained their lower back. Now I've been buying several of these products for over a month because I kept giving mine away to family and friends. I had ordered two more because my coworker fell and injured her elbow and my pastor broke 2 ribs. I love this comfrey salve. The only complaint I have is with the packaging. When it arrives, it's a mess bc the lid is not tight enough and it leaks. Please make the lid tighter.

I have arthritis in the knees and this product is working better than anything else I've tried. I only give it less than four stars because it is an oily and greasy ointment. It absorbs right away but you have to be careful not to make a mess with it. I'm always tidying up the jar to keep it clean. It's just a handling issue but the product itself is great.

Nice cream but light in smell . Was using it on my elderly Mom and you have to research as comfrey can do liver damage . Sad because it was working for her .

I bought this for someone who’d broken a bone and had a surgery. She liked it for her scar area and she healed beautifully. Then I tried it on my eczema elbows and it felt so much better than the over the counter stuff. After a couple of weeks, my skin is so much better. I can only assume it is because of this ointment. The ingredients are a very good quality and it smells so nice.

sadly, this item is not available for a replacement and it had leaked all over, therefore I am stuck with a mess without replacement.

Broke a bone in my foot. This sooths it and helped heal it faster.

Been using for knee pain. Nice smell not greasy.
