Chrome USMC Marine Dress Uniform Officer NCO Sword

I purchased this sword for my dad for Father's Day. He was in the Marine Corps back in the day. He loved it!!! The sword itself is great. It's a great replica of the real deal. I saw an advertisment in a magazine for the Marine Corps and the sword the soldier was holding matched exactly even down to the star near the hilt. The shipper was good as well. I received the product securly packaged and promptly. Great Amazon shopping experience!!!

Wow. No offense to anyone here, but anyone who says they carried a CHROME sword is mistaken.-The Mameluke sword is carried by all Officers in the Corps. It was originally given to Lieutenant Presley O'Bannon in 1805 by a Mameluke chieftain in North Africa.-On the flip side, the Marine Corps NCO sword was given to the NCO's in 1858 by the Commandant to recognize their leadership in combat and recognition of their virtue. It is the only such device that has been awarded by any branch in service.-There is NO Staff NCO sword authorized for carry, as Staff NCO's also carry the NCO sword (although the name may suggest otherwise.)-Anyone who has spent more than one day in the Corps knows this information, as it is drilled in our heads from day one.-My background comes from recently finishing 8 yrs in service, having been put through several boards, and also entrusted with teaching junior Marines on our values and traditions.Semper Fi,Sgt, USMC

This is an excellent example of the Marine Corps SNCO sword; I have carried one similar to it during many parades at MCRDep, San Diego. The sword is a true replica of the exact ones I was issued. The stainless steel blade is etched with the appropriate data compabile to "Official USMC Sword".

My mom gave me this for christmas and I loved it, however the silver parts except for the blade are supposed to be gold not silver and the box where the sword came in had a pic of the real sword but inside was different. other than that it is still a wonderful present and I love it. I would definetly recommend this to someone else.

Did not receive correct sword. Received NCO sword np paper work or contact for exchange and return. I am an unhappy putchaser abd will not reuse your service U.S. Marine Sword - ENGRAVED

The metal on a proper Marine NCO sword is bronze colored, not silver. Just search for "Marine NCO sword" and you will clearly see that this is the case.The reviewer that had a former Marine father that apparently loved was merely demonstrating that it is the thought that counts. But now that you know better, give better to the Marine in your life. =)
