A great pickup for all things, sounds good split to a single.

The high end is amazing, beautiful harmonics, you can hear clearly every note in a chord even with high gain drive. I put it on the bridge of a 1998 Yamaha RGX with ash body and maple/rosewood neck, combines perfectly with the stock pick ups. This thing brings a new life to my instrument.

I purchased this pickup, and the complementary neck pickup, so I could add single coil functionality to my guitar. They sound great and do what I want. I can now get a jangly, focused, strat-like tone out of my 335.Bonus: I was practicing through a tiny little amp and the speaker broke up and sounded terrible with any gain (distortion). I switched these humbuckers to single coils and it cleared the muddiness right up. I could roll the volume up and get the crunch tone I was unable to dial in with humbuckers. They say they're jazz pickups, but these things Rock!

Bought this to swap out a cheap stock humbucker. It is a great sounding pup for a reasonable price. Delivery was fast.

I bought this pickup as a replacement for a stock pickup in a very low-end guitar to give it some character. It is a great improvement, and the pickup really shines when used when the amp has some crunch on it. The pickup is pretty high-output compared to everything else on my other guitars, so it's a bit difficult to rein in the sound and clean it up, but, as I said, it does crunch/gainy tones very well, and it's very reasonably-priced. The only reason why this pickup doesn't get 5 stars from me is simply because there are better pickups on the market--much pricier pickups, to be fair (Lundgren, BKP, etc), but I'd have to reserve a 5-star rating for them.
