Krown Complete Longboard Skateboard

A pretty good board for the price. I'm a first time rider, using it to get around campus, and it is a good board for a beginner. The maple wood is not super flexible, but the rigidity allows for easier turning rather than increased comfort. The bearings could be better. I got some Super Bones Reds to replace the generic bearings, and bearing spacers as well, with new washers, which increased the rolling ability quite a bit. The wheels are a bit soft which increases rolling resistance, but they work for what they are. Overall, I'm very happy with the board. I've but in less than $75 on it, and it rides very well. Beginner Note: I have crashed the board hard into sidewalks about three times, which has caused the maple-ply to split at the front end. The only thing holding the material together was the grip tape. Using super glue and a vice to secure it over a 24-hour period fixed it like new. The front end is a bit dinged up, but no longer split. Also, the board was lighter than I expected. It's easy for me to carry through crowds.

After reading the various opinions on the reviews, I decided to order one to ride with my daughter. This is a great board for the price with very decent quality. I am not sure what people is expecting for $50, an Atom or Sector 9? My board came very quickly and not a scratch on it. I checked the HW on the board: the trucks are decent quality and the wheels spin freely. This is easily similar quality to the $120 board at the mall! It is definitely worth x2 or x3 the stuffs you find at Toys RUs. If someone wants to do trick, this is the wrong board, get a kick tail board. If someone wants to have stable board to cruise on, this is it. Buying the wrong board and blame it for your problem is simply silly. This is a long board so turning radius is larger, it is simple physics but most people forgot what they learned in grade school. Time will tell if it will last for me but I don't see why it would break under normal people weight.

This is my first longboard personally, and I'm finding it a great board to learn on. It gives me a chance to figure out what I want to do without breaking the bank, or worrying about tearing up my equipment. The board looks really nice, and I don't have any complaints about quality. The bearings and trucks aren't high-end, but not too bad to start with. I wouldn't want super fast bearings from the start, or I'd probably kill myself going down a hill. A couple things to note: The board has a pretty wide turning radius. Even if you loosen up the trucks, you can't carve super hard. This has a lot to do with the fact that the wheel base is pretty much wider than my stance. If you are cruising on flat land, you'll want to upgrade the bearings for sure. A couple of my friends have higher end boards/bearings, and I have to put in a lot more effort to keep up with them. On the bright side, like I said, it doesn't get away with you going down hill. Trucks have just a little speed wobble when you get going downhill fast. All in all, if you just want a pretty long board at a decent price, it's a great way to get a feel for what things are like. If you're like me you'll probably want to upgrade before too long though.

I'm a forty-something woman who's recently got into long boarding. I'm still a novice - maybe 10 hours total on a board, but I've picked it up well enough and am comfortable cruising around town - no speed or downhills, just casual "strolls". Going out to visit my two nephews (8 & 17) I wanted introduce them to long boarding - they have no experience with skateboards - so looked for some nice entry level boards - not to cheep so they had a solid opportunity to learn, but not too expensive if they just don't get into it. From a beginner's perspective these are all great boards to start with. The bearings and wheels were good - no, the bearings aren't as smooth as what's on my Gold Coast, but for half the price I'm happy. To get to some of he specifics... The Krown Wood arrived warped which is why I only gave it three stars. In it's defense, when I road it, I really didn't notice any problems, but the board is a pretty significant part of the complete set and I feel, even at $70 the board should be right. The Xtreme Drop Down ended up being my favorite to ride, but that was mostly because I liked the drop down set up. The paper on the board did seem to scrape off pretty easily, but I won't ding them for that - cheeper quality goods kept the price down so I could get the boys into new toys. The Quest Kick Tail was just all around solid - not warped, paper seemed to stay on it, but it probably saw the least use of the three while I was there. In summary, as a beginner I can say all three are great beginner boards. A little disappointed with the Krown Wood's warped board as it doesn't really give them that board to build on if they want to upgrade a little at a time, but for the price I'd highly recommend any to get started.

For those that are into skating and like longboards, this it a fantastic item at a great price! The quality is great and the look is super cool. I found it to be unique and since this was a Christmas present for my teenage step-son, who loves skating.. it ended up being the perfect item for the skater-boy. I would recommend the item to others as the board just looks cool, but is also a smooth ride, with a decorative flair for a stand out board. The packaging was huge, lol.. but it was packaged well and in perfect condition when it arrived.

What a fantastic board! Very easy to ride. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this board. I have absolutely no complaints. The time between ordering and receipt of the product was very short. The only thing I have had to do to the board is loosen the trucks for better turning. And I am contemplating getting faster wheels. Other than that, the board was a bit longer than I had anticipated. But it turned out to be a good thing. And there is a little chip in the board they tried to cover up with a black permanent marker. I think it gives the board a little more character. Also, as the other reviews have said, this board is great for novices like myself.

Just took it out of the box yesterday and rode around the drive, and down the front sidewalk. I'm a bigger guy, 192 lbs--but the board seems to hold me (which is good). I understand you get what you pay for, but honestly not everyone has a few hundred bucks laying around to drop on a piece of wood with wheels (not knocking longboarding). But this board is decent, and it gets the job done. Plus you can always change the trucks, bearings, wheels--a lot of times you end up paying for the deck and the painting underneath it. Which proper board flex is key, but upgrading wheels, bearings, etc. is more on a personal need-based level. Hope this helps.

When I first got into longboarding everyone told me to get a sector 9. Instead i bought this because I wanted to see if I could actually do it. It is great to learn on seeing as how the bearings feel like they're greased with sand. The trucks will not turn, at all beyond 15 degrees. The wheels are pressed out of plastic and the trucks are made of the same material soda cans are made of. I put a pair of sidewinders on it to hope to get a better turning radius and as soon as I stepped on it it cracked. The plies split apart. Within 30 minutes the board had split in two. I admit I am a big rider but still, every board I have had since then has had no problem at all. DONT BE CHEAP, buy something better.
