Excellent value and good comfort and fit. You can't go wrong with these shoes.
These are some really nice shoes. I wear these to work every day, and they totally get the job done. They are lightweight and pretty comfortable. They were nicely broken in after about 2 weeks, and keep getting better. And since they are slip on, I can take them off and put them on easily at my desk and nobody is the wiser. In the past I had purchased Ecco shoes, which are really excellent, but these Bostonian's are about 1/3 the cost and get the job done just as well. Maybe Ecco's are a tiny bit more comfortable, but I expect that these Bostonian's will continue to wear in more comfortably over time. I'm not missing anything about my old Ecco's - especially the price.

Comfortable right out of the box
This is my main dress shoe for work. It is absolutely the best-fitting and most comfortable shoe I've found. The Bolton style is not fancy, so it's not the kind of shoe that attracts a lot of attention; however, it is attractive and blends in well with with any style clothes up to semi-formal. It is comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period. Even though it is a light shoe, it wears well and is an excellent value for the price.2017 update: I've bought several pairs of these shoes over the years and they all fit well. Over the course of a year, I wear down the soft heels somewhat; they're so reasonable, I just replace them rather than taking them to the shoe repair.

Difference in width by country of origin
I own two pairs of these. They are a great shoe for the money. They are very light weight and have good insoles. My first set was a black pair made in China. They fit and felt wonderful. My next set was a brown pair. They are made in India and are quite a bit narrower in the heel and toe box. I'm hoping they'll stretch some with wear but they are quite a bit narrower than the made in China pair. If I had it to do again I might have returned it for a wide even though I never need a wide size. Apparently where these are made does affect their width. They were true to length in both pairs.

Extreme comfort for a dressy shoe that can be used for all occasions
Let's face it. Ordering shoes online is not an easy feat. A customer definitely doesn't need to worry with Amazon's generous return policy that includes fashion items. After all, ordering online you have several obstacles. Fit, comfort, and even design may not be easily determined through reviews and pictures until you've tried it on in person. So far, I got these, I put them on and they are probably the most comfortable shoes I've worn in recent memory especially when considering dress shoes which I generally don't think of for everyday use. These are perfect for dressy or casual situations and have the comfort for every day type usage. While I have never owned Bostonians, I saw the positive reviews, the high ranking, and the nice slip-on black leather style as encouraging. Indeed, it will be necessary to see how these last over time since I have seen how cheaper shoes may not last long. It is my hope that I can get at least a year, if not more from these. They are affordable, but I hate having to replace shoes constantly. I will try to update and report back. So far, I'm impressed. My only concern is what other reviewers have pointed out which is that while it does use a leather upper, the bottom of the shoes (sole) are synthetic and I'm not sure how durable it will be. In addition, I have not used it in icy or rain conditions to test the traction these shoes provide yet.

I like the design of the shoes
I like the design of the shoes. Unfortunately the leather both looks and feels cheap (probably because it is), with a waxy uneven finish that neither qualifies as being pebbled nor is smooth enough to look good with a solid shine. The sole also feels like cheap plastic, but is holding up well, though they can be slippery on some smooth surfaces. However, the good side is that they are quite comfortable. They are extremely light, which contributes to feeling cheap, but also makes wearing them all day a breeze. The insole is also comfortable and supportive. I like them as they meet my company's dress code without being uncomfortable to wear.

Comfortable, durable, looks nice, and fits as expected
I had been purchasing many a shoe around this price point ($40-$60) from Kohl's and was tired of the cheap shoes lasting around 6 months before the bottom of the shoes cracked or the inside fabric of the sole of the shoes became shredded. I was all about to drop $$big money$$ on a "well made" pair when I read the reviews of these on Amazon. These have been a godsend. I brought the brown pair and had them for about 4 months now, worn them a lot, and they still look new, both inside and out. Very durable so far. I like the fit and finish so much, I just bought them in black as well. Love the slip-on fit and how they look like expensive dress shoes. I bought the wide fit because I have Morton's Neuroma in my right foot and need room for my foot bones and tendons to spread out when I take a step, very happy with the fit. Toe of the shoes are of a somewhat pointed style, in case it's had to see this in the photo, but not to the extreme women's high-heel pointy or crazy cowboy boot pointy.

Nice, but narrow. order wide.
Revised: These shoes broke in and quickly became very comfortable. Great lightweight travelers.Original review: I tried these in in a local store and they went on & off with relative ease. The pair I received is noticeably narrower and difficult to get back on at airport security. After the 1st few days, I appreciate how light they are; there is some minor wrinkling starting on the sides, but it's not a problem yet.The look is good- not canoe-like as some other bicycle style shoes are. The finish isn't too glossy, but also isn't as textured as a weekend shoe. They go from suit & tie to casual well.If the leather breaks in and widens a bit in the toe box area I'll be happy. If not, they'll be relegated to the back of the closet for some time before going to Goodwill.
