This flush ceiling mounted light is nice and looks good except for one thing that just jumped out at me when installing it. The stamped decorative metal plate that hides the ceiling connections is DIRTY DOG GONE STRAIGHT UP UGLY! The art if you can call it that looks like a few worms were living in the mold at the time it was cast and they just went with it.I mean really no design just a sleek contemporary smooth ceiling connector would have been much better than this grand mess. I mean if you create something decorative at least put some effort into it. This ceiling connector is the result of zero artistic effort and it so totally shows. Luckily you can't easily see this artistic travesty from the ground unless you are almost looking for it.Now the shades I got were very well done since I brought two of them it seems they all look fairly good. The design is simple and art deco in nature. The color runs toward brown and gold as is the custom in mission style lights. The electrical assemblies while cheap aren't hopelessly bad. The light uses the standard Edison base bulbs.You don't see much bulb in these lights from a low floor level vantage point so I would not go wasting money on premium bulbs to create a mid century feel. Save that investment for a desk lamp. All in all this light is a value for its price. I took a start off for the accursed ugliness of the ceiling connection cover plate. But the light is a good buy at a moderate price.

This is a very pretty lamp but it was nearly impossible to install. The instructions were ridiculous ( translated poorly from China) and the installation parts did NOT fit the lamp! If I did not have the handiest of handymen for a husband then this would never have worked. He had to cannibalize parts from our old lamp to hang this light. And really, it looks beautiful. However, if you do not have a super smart handy person at home to install this lamp I wish you luck. I gave 3 stars only for the the lamp shade itself which is stunning.

At first I thought it was made cheap but once up it is very nice. Not too bright. I put it in my hall when I bought a new house. The one in my new place was so bright.My guy is an electrical engineer and he said installation parts were backwards?

If you are expecting this light to go up in half an hour forget it. The hardware sucks... the threaded rods are to short. You will find yourself either savaging parts from other projects or running to the hardware store for threaded rod that is the correct length. The medallion was the wrong color, and didn’t match the finial so the wife painted it. Only to finally get it installed after 2+ hours, and find you can’t even see the medallion anyway. The shade is pretty, and that’s what you’re paying for. I gave it a very low rating to try and deter people from buying this headache. Maybe the manufacturer will get the hint.

First off this is not Glass, it is some kind of acrylic with rubbery hot glue like materiel between the plastic "glass" pieces. Everything about this product is cheap including the mounting hardware as has been stated by other reviews. And if you want to return it? You have to pay to ship it back to china for $70!!!!!!!!. Avoid the hassle and try another light fixture!

This is beautiful on our den ceiling! It completely goes with the room! I did imagine it to be a little larger. But it’s really lovely. And it’s a little lighter weight than I’d expect, but up on the ceiling you can’t tell.

Beautiful ceiling light. Perfect fit for replacing my old one. A bit oily on surface but came off wiping it with ethanol. Must be handy to install, not an easy fit with parts that came in. Had to buy a threaded extension from Lowes to make it hung.

Very pretty. Hugs the ceiling, so you don't see the ugly cheap canopy it comes with. Took less then 30 minutes to install and most of that was trying to get the fixture through the nipple as it was crooked.
