Tul Retractable Gel Pens 0.5mm Needle Point, Black 4/pk

The pen’s point is perfect for writing, it glides across the page. There is no leakage, it’s quite durable, and was inexpensive! Overall very pleased and highly recommend.

My favorite pens. I used a work until I retired. I ordered these for at home use even though we had probably 30 good pens in our desk drawers.

It does write like a gel pen. It is a fine needlepoint, but the functionality of this pen is great. It is comfortable to write with, very smooth ink flow and gliding across the page. So far has held up do daily use, would love to see a metal version, but it does seem like a thick durable plastic option for this pen.

The best pen I have ever found and been using these for years. BUT - over the last few years about one pen in three malfunctions after a while. The rolling ball (or whatever it is) apparently falls out of the tip, leaving an inky mess in its place. The pen is then unusable and has to be discarded, even though there is still ink in the cartridge. I have no idea why this happens. Nothing violent happens to the pen to repeatedly cause this. I never had this happen the first few years I was buying and using them a lot. Did the quality control decrease more recently? I could find no manufacturer web site to report this too, as the original company was bought by or absorbed into something else. I will sample some other brands of these gel pens to see if they remain intact better. It's a shame, though. These really are wonderful while they work.
