Is your threads IPS or NPT?
Darn, I am not a plumber. Just a dad on a budget. I did not realize that there could be different pipe threads for an over head shower. Coming out of MY ceiling is a NPT thread. This pipe is not NPT threaded but it is close. So no matter how much pipe sealant tape I used, it did not seal and my ceiling sheetrock is wet! So please be sure to do your homework. This pipe is IPS threaded and meant to seal onto a gasket? NPT thread seal on the threads with some sealants. I wasted my money and time but learned the hard way. I have already purchased an NPT pipe and the seal is dry.
