Song of Myself: The First and Final Editions of the Great American Poem

Seriously , you are asking me to rate Whitman , really? And not just Whitman but Leaves of Grass . And not just LOG but the final portion Song of Myself -about which hundreds of books and millions of essays have been written. Seriously ? Doesn't some algorithm stop you from doing this ?

I'm not commenting on Whitman's words which are wonderful in itself but the actual condition of the book. It arrived before the expected delivery and it's great condition! No visible wear and no markings. Worth the 6 dollars.

I bought my first Walt Whitman collection when I was in Vietnam and Song of Myself gave me hope then and restored me as I later grappled with PTSD from my combat experiences in Nam. A wonderful lesson in self love through selfless compassion.

Great Poem’s throughout the entire book. A wonderful use of early American literature. However, today America’s literature is very lackluster.

It's Whitman. You know what you're getting into here, and if you don't then this is first class self-confidence, revitalization of the self, and a beautiful perspective of the world we live in.

It's different every time because of how my perspective changes. I bought this as a gift for my daughter. I do believe it is a good gift for anybody who is contemplative.
