Works very well for the conditions it is intended for
I am not allowed to say what this product does. This contains collagen. Your body uses collagen to regenerate tissue and repair wounds. We found that this dramatically speeds up that process.

This stuff works!
Let dressing stay on at least 2 days for warmth and collagen production! This heals!

Great to apply on face after laser treatment
I make sure to apply this after IPL. No scent and feels more effective than cosmetic creams. Was looking for pure collagen as I had read one study that found IPL + collagen repair dressing was very good for melasma (contrary to what many providers say, which causes those with melasma to have to resort to much more expensive fractionated laser treatment).

Much better after first night of use...
..I’m going to have to update this review, since I’ve only used this gel for one night! (See update, below) However, I’m cautiously optimistic that it’s going to work. I have two self inflicted TCA burns on my face. In short, I’m an idiot. I have used 30% TCA before and it’s NEVER given me damaged skin, but this time it looks like I may have pressed too hard (?!?!) b/c I have two small areas that have not yet healed, and it has been FIVE WEEKS! So I’m starting to freak out. I’ve kept both areas hydrated 24/7 with “barrier cream” that’s formulated for use after peels. But it is just. not. healing. I basically have a tiny hole on the top of my nose that won’t close, and a tiny divot on my chin. Anyway, I used this gel on them last night and applied bandaids. Until now, I have just used the barrier cream, with no dressing, since dressing is difficult to keep in place on the face. I did apply a bandaid once, on my nose (with the barrier cream), and it made little difference, so I didn’t do it again. However, with this gel, it looked much smaller, when I woke up! So I quickly applied more gel and covered it, once again. I’m going to try to leave the bandages on for awhile, since this is the first time I’ve had hope, in five weeks! I’ll update soon. Wish me luck!Update: It has been a week, and my wounds have finally healed enough for me to begin working on scar treatment! I’m most impressed by my tiny nose wound, since that was still open enough to see white collagen, etc., after 5 weeks, and this product closed it in less than a week—and managed to flatten the little scar that was forming around the hole!A few things to note: the consistency is like gelatin (as you can imagine since they’re made from the same ingredient). Thus, it won’t stay moist unless you cover it. For all I know, it dries when you cover it, but I imagine it stays wet longer that way. If left uncovered, the collagen will dry into a little barrier that you can actually peel off. No idea whether it’s effective this way, so I tried to keep it covered. Not easy, especially on the face!Suffice to say, I am now a very big believer in this product. And it’s so much less expensive than the other products I found!

Incredible stuff
Years ago, I had this great dog. Another dog, a stupid dog that was awful, bit him in the leg. The wound would not heal, no matter what I put on it. It was an open wound for over a year, and the vet couldn't get it under control. I found some kind of horse medication for leg wounds, and it healed in a week. It was collagen. So, I wanted people version of this, and I found this stuff. As a test, I had a 4" long deep oozing burn on my left arm. I covered half with this and a bandage, and the other half with just a bandage. The half with this on it was healed in about 3 days. The other half took almost 2 weeks. I just had a bad burn on my right arm that was not healing very well... 2 days of this and it's almost healed. I also have a bad abrasion on my knee which has been healing very slowly and painfully for a week. I put this on under a bandage about 24 hours ago, and it no longer hurts, and at this rate it will be healed tomorrow. This is the best healing sauce I've ever used.

Close, but no cigar
Many years ago, my venous ulcers responded well to a collagen-based gel. That gel is no longer available, so when I came across this collagen-based product, I had high hopes for it. However, while it certainly protects the ulcers and surrounding skin, I noticed no substantial improvement in my ulcers this time around. In addition, it is a bit irritating to my skin. I will probably use it occasionally as an alternative to the other products I am experimenting with, but it will not be my mainstay.
