Briggs & Stratton 291488 6-quart Metal Fuel Tank and Cap for Remote Mounting

Nice looking genuine Briggs tank (made in china). There are a few very light rust spots on the inside but nothing bad. Tank is 10-3/4" long and 5-5/8" wide. Height of the tank itself is 6-3/8" and then the cap sticks up another 1-1/2". The center of the cap is 7" from one end and 3-3/4" from the other end. The discharge is directly below the cap and has male pipe threads.When I ordered mine there wasnt an amazon option and it took a long time (a month) to arrive. However that seller is no longer listed, and its available from amazon, so feel free to order away.

Does anyone know where to get a cap that fits this tank? Pretty lame to ship without a cap. Also no one to contact to remedy a return for a tank that won't leak out the poorly made threads. All links to manufacturer who made the tank end with nothing. Poor customer service on briggs and stratton side. Waste of money.

A bit expensive, but it's a high quality exact replacement for my rusted tank.

Was a bit longer than old one but fits perfectly. Very happy.

works just like the old one, Took the old one off and the new one fit right on.
