The flavor that’s this adds to soups and stews is worth it.
These are great…I wish they were bigger pieces but in all fairness it does say “flakes”.

Good value
Add these to soups for more flavor and to get more veggies into my husband. Just put them in mason jars on arrival to preserve the quality.

Unexpected long-term opinion
Initially when we first got this, we did not like it. The flavor combination was weird, strong, and not so good as a soup, for our tastes. We had gotten this to make it a food supply type of item, giving us nutrition where we don't otherwise get it (poor diet!). So yeah, after buying a large quantity and trying it for the first time, we were dismayed...HOWEVER!Long-term wise, we have come to really love this stuff! Mostly I think we had to get accustomed to the flavor, and learn how to mix it in. Like: We'll add it (ground) into some homemade bread. We grind it into a powder and shake it as a spice over foods. We mix it in with mac & cheese, or in with any of many dinner dishes. We actually add large quantities of it, in ground form, into our meals, and often. We even sometimes use it as a treat thrown in with scratch for our chickens, giving them additional nutrition.A lot of times, we don't even realize the cook has added this to the meal. It has turned out to be quite fantastic! But I still wouldn't use it on its own, in soup form.

Love this product
This is easily dry stored for long self life. Adds flavor and bulk to all your favorite home made soups. It's a little pricy, but a good value for what you get.

Surprisingly good
I've been canning and freezing and dehydrating. Thought I'd try these dried veggies. Wasn't sure if they would taste right or have a good texture. Surprise! They worked very well. I used them as a base for soups, starting with homemade beef or chicken stock and water. The latest batch I added some canned and frozen vegetables and a few cubed potatoes and petite diced tomatoes and spices. Oh my goodness...Wonderful soup!!! Also could add canned meats, rice, noodles, etc. Give these a try. You can make as much or as little as you want. I made several quarts for the two of us. Then freeze, or process them on the canning selection in the instapot/pressure cooker. OR...leave them as is and use as needed.
