My son has never been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, but he has complained about losing focus in class, and restlessness at night, which makes him feel tired during the day. Plus, he is a tweenager, so there’s lots of emotional stuff happening at this stage in his development (he’s almost 13). A close friend suggested Simple Spectrum and gave us some to try. Day 1, he fell asleep rather quickly after getting settled into bed. Amazing!! The next day he seemed less groggy and out of it upon waking. After the first few days, we noticed less of the irritability that comes with adolescence, even my extended family made comments about how he seemed to be more engaged and “happier” upon spending time with him within the first week. (I figured it would be a few weeks before we saw any benefits, but literally within 24 hours it was obvious. I am over the mood elated to see some of the benefits so soon!) This product is a Godsend. After about three or four days my son came home from school and commented that he doesn’t daydream in class like he used to. He has been doing his homework without getting up to do other stuff, like he used to. Overall he seems to be more even tempered and he’s doing things when I ask, even those “less desirable” tasks he gets up to do what I’ve asked after the first or second time I ask, as opposed to the way it used to be, like he couldn’t hear me until it was the 12th time I was asking (and by that point it was less of an ask and more like me angrily barking out orders) ... and he is a middle schooler; anyone with a child this age knows that getting them to do anything like cleaning their room or taking out the trash (without a fight!) the first or second ask is no easy feat. I saw my son enjoying a longer fuse and feeling better and more engaged in stuff, even during the ride to school in the morning. He’s not all groggy and zombie like, we have fun chats on the way to school and I love that! So of course I HAD to try it for myself, and I am so grateful I did! Holy cow! I suffer from insomnia and adult ADD, so I’m forgetful and also can be unfocused. Typically, I lose my keys at least once a week, forget at least one to three essential items at the grocery store on the regular etc. I usually hate the sound of my alarm clock in the morning, because it seems to go off just when I finally get into REM. Needless to say, I’m used to feeling like a zombie in the mornings. I started taking Simple Spectrum Supplement, and (just like my son) I noticed a difference within the very first 24 hours. I felt more focused and was able to fall asleep without any trouble at all. I mix it in water. It has a very mild, pleasant flavor. I have been feeling much more centered and patient, and I know my son does too. I’m disappointed in the direction of the quality of the product. I think the product itself is ok. BUT, the cost has increased and you get less. Also, a huge chunk is unusable because it retains so much moisture. I have a quarter of the container left and it’s all hard clumps that don’t dissolve easily. EDIT 5-24-20: I received a replacement from the seller that contained a different desiccant to help keep the product dry. Its back to what I'm used to and we're satisfied. The product is worth the try if you're on the fence. Thanks to the seller for working with us.

Background info on my Child. My son was diagnosed as level 1 autistic (high functioning) 3 months after he turned three. Two months after that we started this product. We are blessed that he has a very high vocabulary (can name many items) And can sing an abundance of songs (mainly Disney and nursery rymes). He knows his entire alphabet, numbers 1 to 20, and is a master with shapes. Other than identifying things he has difficulty following directions, answering questions, or responding to his name. A lot of problems with “expressive language. ” He can also be a little bit of a picky eater and will often only eat certain foods. He does love bacon though. And a big fan of broccoli, cheese sticks, apples, and carrots.He’s been using this product for about a month and a half and we have noticed improvements. Mainly he has been using more expressive language by saying things like “I want juice” or “I love puppy dog pals”. Which were big improvements for him. He could say those things before, but they were rare, and now it’s on a daily basis. He recently began referring to himself by his own name which he had never done before. I think the product helped. I noticed some Minor improvements within the first week of him taking it.I give him a half teaspoon once a day in about 11 ounces of coconut water. He has no problem drinking. The product has no added flavoring but naturally tastes very slightly like a b complex vitamin. Doesn’t taste bad but is very slightly noticeable. Needs to be shaken up when put in a drink. And it will give the beverage a slightly yellow look.Product fills about half of a container but does come with the amount it’s advertised to.This product is not going to do anything drastic like “cure” your child’s autism. But I do think it helped my child to start to become a better communicator, increase some of his comprehension, and decrease some of his difficulty in listening.I recommend it. 100 percent.I hope this helps some parents. Do not purchase!!! I received it and the seal inside was broken. The color was brown/orange and the smell was horrible!! It was defective!! Do not buy from this seller. Buy from the actual company online. It’s a huge difference. The product I received from their website was orange, smelled good, and was not expired. Do not purchase!!!
