I paid ten dollars for them to sell me Next Step products
I liked the author's personal statement book so i went out on a limb and purchased this MCAT prep book. This book is completely different than his personal statement book, in that it is a rather thorough advertisement for purchasing his Next Step products. It seems like after every main section, the author pushes the reader to purchase Next Step products. Like this section on page 36, urging the reader to get a refund from any previous courses taken to purchase the Next Step course,"If you didn't use a prep course before, now may be the time to look into it. Next Step offers their MCAT Course which includes several live office hours every week. If you did use a course, you might be able to get a refund and use that money for one-on-one tutoring from Next Step."

Wallet Friendly MCAT Guide
Purchased this not too long ago since I have so much free time now, with college being over and working less. Of course I’m planning to go to medical school after college. I figured I should start early understanding the MCAT and how it plays a roll in admissions. Now, as a person who has always wanted to become a doctor, I have known about the medical school admissions process and what the MCAT is, but “knowledge about things in life are important.” So far, I have only read up to chapter 2. Now you might be thinking, why did I write a review without completely finishing this book and here’s why, I’ll break it down quick:1. The book is short, 164 pages from the first actual chapter to the last. I skimmed through this book and I really like the headings in each chapter. The author ( who is a MD) portrays these headings as potential questions that one might have about the MCAT and medical school application/admissions. So, in a way, you will know what the chapter or specific paragraph from that section will be about.2. Just from reading, chapters 1&2, this author is thorough/detailed and most likely this will continue throughout the book. At the same time the author manages to get to the point of each section.3. Not only the author talks about the MCAT but also talks about medical school admissions real quick in the first chapter.4. The author does a great job explaining what the MCAT is in chapters 1&2. It is noted what MCAT stands for, when to take it, cost, scoring, etc. Towards the middle/end there are some general sample questions with the answers below them, but these are mainly for the author to explain what potential questions you will see on the actual MCAT and how they are phrased. Also, the author has some resources that come with the book, located at the end of the book. Definitely use these resources to get started. In general, I’m thankful to have come across this book. I will continue to read this book to really have solid foundation of what the MCAT is and to maximize my chances of scoring high (of course this is done through practice/studying). One advice that I can give the next person who is reading through this comment is that, as you read the book take short notes either in the book or on a separate piece of paper. This is so that Incase you want to refresh your memory, you won’t have to read the whole section again. At the same time this will show that you understand what that section is about. Finally, I’ll leave you with this, this book wasn’t that expensive and so far from reading chapters 1&2, I am writing a review so it should tell how good this book is. As well as don’t go spending crazy money on other books about the MCAT, when you can buy this book which is budget friendly and detailed with other resources at the end of the book.

A very good book in combination with the official AAMC guide
A very good book in combination with the official AAMC guide. Pretty good at telling you what to expect and how to get ready efficiently. Dr Gray is an amazing individual he gives you solid advice in all his books. Also contains a u bunch of NextStep problem and passage samples if you're into NextStep. Totally recommend it to anyone who needs an advice about MCAT. As always Dr Gray does not disappoint.

Very useful for strategy
This book provides specific strategy on how to approach, study, and be ready for test day. Overall, compared to the author's excellent book on the personal statement, its not quite top notch, but it is worth buying and having if you need help with strategy.

Good book for the price!
Book showed up in good condition, which I appreciate, but the content itself was great! For how short of a book it is, it teaches a lot of good studying and test taking tips and tricks, so I would recommend it to any pre-med.

This book was very helpful in understanding the ins and ...
This book was very helpful in understanding the ins and outs of the logistics MCAT (Although it is not a MCAT prep book). It gives a lot more insight and advice than mere quick google searches. I really enjoyed its honest and straight-to-the-point style. It is definitely a must-read for pre-med students (both trad and non-trad)!If you're looking for other helpful pre-med books, Dr. Gray's other book in the series (The Premed Playbook Guide to the Medical School Interview) is also definitely worth checking out.
