My pillars was flaking so bad, use a razor to remove clear coats. Use sand paper 220 and 320 to smooth out and blend surface before using paint. Primer if you have to. So far It is a great kit, shipping takes time, but overall paint came out great. Prepped before you paint and make sure you use three or four coats in between with light coat on the first two.

I have a 2007 Civic that is known for having issues with the clear coat pealing. My bumper hit the point where everything nearly peeled off. I initially shopped prices to get the car painted and they were all 2k-5k range(more than the car's worth). I decided to give it a shot and the results were better than I thought. You definitely NEED to sand a little and put primer down BEFORE you begin painting. If you don't put down primer or sand then the paint will just absorb into car and the color will be off.I bought 3 more packs and plan on doing the roof, trunk and around the door.

Paint pens are poor at applying paint at anything other than a downward angle, the brush on the tip is hard as a rock and doesn't change no matter how much you saturate it with paint. The color match is absolutely terrible. In order to return they charge you return postage and a 25% restocking fee, so you're pretty much stuck with their garbage product. STAY AWAY.

This stuff was terrible. I watched YouTube videos on how to prep the surface, how to paint, etc. The point being, I followed the directions and educated myself and the paint job ended up TERRIBLE. The paint went on chunky and gritty from the beginning (I do not like the nib applicator at all). I ended up taking my car to the dealership. They stripped off the touch up paint and sold me Honda certified paint that had a nail polish like applicator. It was much better.

I bought this because my clear faded and peeled. I prepped the surface kept it clean and painted in my garage. I’m amazed. It looks great. Great coverage more coverage than expected. The color looks great too. Thanks!

Paint was impossible to apply to a vertical surface. Marker is handy to use, just cannot be applied to doors or front bumpers
