Horribly disappointed. The leather is split along every fold of the binding, there are black marks, and weird smudges on almost every sheet of paper, the string is very thin, & brittle, and there is writing on the inner cover in what looks like colored permanent marker. i did reach out to the company's customer servicei, whom seemed unconcerned person was unduly

While the outside looks cool, the inside of the cover isn't colored, and it has flecks of paint on the inside of the covers. Not only that, but when you open up the notebook the first thing you're hit with is the smell of paint (smells like house paint) wouldn't recommend buying if you want a journal that is great quality all throughout, but otherwise it's still paper to write on and the outside still looks decent, just try to avoid getting high on the fumes coming off of it.

This is a lovely purchase. I was looking to use this as my new journal but I believe I will be using this as a mix of journal and sketch book. I know from the feel of the paper that the paper will only support pencil or ink (with pencil a gum or kneaded eraser would be best). This paper is at 50-75 lb cold press paper. I would not recommend any marker. I do believe you could use oil pastel for mock up work but again the paper something to be aware of. In all I am pleasantly surprised since in all the journal is roughly an 1" (inch) in thickness, 8.5 x 5 inches, and beautifully stitched spine.

I've fallen for this so many times it's totally my fault....but that doesn't mean these vendors get to get away with it scott free. When you see a book, all blown up in the pictures, you think its a standard book size. SO you hurry and click and move on. When I got it...ya it's the size of the palm of my hand. My fault for sure....but they know what they are doing when they don't put any kind of context in the pictures to tell the size of the product. Shame on me....shame on them.

Product was ok when arrived, when opened on christmas the glue on the binding was completely degraded or very cheap and it came off. So much for a nice gift.

My SO has a fascination with dragons, so I thought this would be a great gift, and it was. He loves it. He takes it with him on jobs to make notes on work to be done and measurements. It is very well made and seems to be very durable.

The paper isn’t as durable for things like Erasing hence the removed star. I use it as the place to write your tarot question privately so that I’ve got evidence of what it was when a I’m done and you don’t get it played on you cuz I’ll not review it til the reading is done. Goes with a pen since it ought not be erased it makes the one facet of this device not working, working for wha to use it for perfectly.It also goes with the same dragon design to a wooden box shaped and drawn like a book which hold the perfect size to the Celtic dragon tarot deck I’ve read for decades too. Sad they don’t carry that thing no more.

When I first opened the book, I was instantly in love with it. The smell of the leather is what I noticed which isnt a bad thing. The embossed cover is appealing to the eyes and the book is well put together. I havent drawn in this just yet so the quality of the paper and the way it would erase is unknown at this point. I did however take a regular number 2 pencil and lightly drew something just to see if buy erasing would the paper peel as you erase. It didn't which I can happily reveal. My only grip was wishing it had a bigger version, like 8x11 and it a little fatter as in way more pages. Or at least ones you can add. But if i need a replacement or anither book to match I know where I'll get one.
