Positive experience with this pill
I am very happy with this product. Here is my overall experience - My milk production before taking the pills: When my baby was 1 week - about 1 oz from both breasts At 2-4 weeks - about 2 to 2.5 oz from both sides I was getting frustrated during my baby's growth spurts, and read a lot of things on how to increase breast milk supply. I took help from a lactation consultant who helped me correct the latch problem on right breast. Yet my milk supply was at around 2.5 oz from both sides. I used to have oatmeal, had lactation tea, pumped milk after feeding my baby, but didn't see any improvement. The lactation consultant suggested these pills. I started to take them when baby was 6 weeks old. It took about 2 weeks to see improvement in milk supply. It has been a month since I started these pills, and right now I am making about 4-6 oz from both sides (depending on how long it has been since last feeding). I have had a positive experience with this pill. I don't notice any side effects like gas in me or the baby. I burp my kid after each feeding, that helps reduce gas formation. What other things I did to improve milk supply: 1. Along with taking these pills, I pump milk regularly - every 4 hours after baby has nursed. Sometimes when my baby's sleeping, I just go ahead and pump. 2. I eat oatmeal 3. I take lactation tea occassionally 4. I eat frequent meals every 3-4 hours 5. I worry less about how much milk I make, less stress = more milk How I use this: The instruction says to take 4 pills if you are less than 175 pounds, and drink less than 2 oz of fluids in order for it to be most effective. I take 1 pill 30 mins after breakfast, 30 mins after lunch, evening, and 30 mins after dinner. I make sure that I don't drink water or any other liquid for atleast 15 mins after taking this pill. This pill along with other things like pumping and nursing on demand have helped increase milk supply.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is great!
I absolutely love this product. I am a first time mom and its been a tough road breastfeeding my little one, but this product has really save me! About 10 days after I had my LO, she wasn't latching and my milk wasn't coming in so my lactation consultant recommended the Motherlove More Milk Special Blend. I bought this at Whole Foods foods out of desperation because that's what they carried. I went from pumping 8-12 oz a day to 24 with in a week. My daughter never latched so I am exclusively pumping now and have been able to maintain my supply until about 2 weeks ago when I got a terrible cold that turned into a sinus infection. I gave in a took musinex D in conjuction with antiobiotics to get over my illness. I went from pumping about 30 oz a day to 22 oz. My LO is 5 months and although she eats some solids i wasnt able to keep up with her and started dipping into my reserve just to keep up. I meant to order the Special Blend this time around, but accidently ordered the More Milk Plus. Once again, I am excited that this product has pulled through for me again. My first time around I bought the liquid, but ordered the pills this time around. I was a little concerned at first because I wasn't sure if it was as potent at the liquid extract; however, the Motherlove website explained that both the liquid and pill form are extracts so I gave it a shot. The pills are SO MUCH BETTER cause they don't taste like crap! I am under 175 lbs, but I have been taking the 2 pills x 3 times a day. After 3 days of taking them, I went from 22 oz to 31 oz and still climbing. The product is little more expensive than some fenugreek products out there, but its worth every penny when you think that this costs less than a can of formula -- plus nothing can replace that liquid gold. At my current dosage, the 60 pills will last me just under 2 weeks, but like I said, its still cheaper than formula. I've been discouraged by so many saying the exclusively pumping is not a viable option because you eventually start tapering off, but here I am...5 months in and going strong thanks to two rounds Motherlove. :D

Worked. Took pills slow.
This pill definitely helped boost my milk supply. It’s easy to take and doesn’t have any weird taste to it. Like any supplement though I always recommend to people to start with just 1 pill once a day. This is something new that is being added to your body. And so that is what I did. I took 1 pill once a day in the evening when supply was low for me. Cause I wasn’t making more then 2 ounces. I did this for about four days till I felt I wasn’t having issues. Ex: farting, bloat. First night I took it I was farting and a little bloated. After the few days it got better. Then I increased to 2 pills once a day in the evening. This is the max amount of pills I’ve taken since my milk supply with 2 pills has doubled. And I felt that was plenty. I got a little more gassy. But nothing I couldn’t handle. Also with these pills they work best drinking a lot of water. Which is ideal for breastfeeding anyways. I consumed about a gallon a day if not more. This helped me keep bloat and gas at bay. In regards to how my baby did, I didn’t notice any extra fussiness. He did fart a bit more then normal. And if he was fussy due to his farts I put a warm rice sock on his belly and that eased them right out. His been overly happy and well fed since taking these and I have had to use less formula (which makes me happy) he is 2 months old drinking 4 to 5 ounces. Also as a side note I do give him probiotics which I would recommend to anyone who has a baby proned to being “Constipated”, gassy, or fussy. This has allowed my little one to poop twice a day unlike before. I would recommend women try these if they have been having a hard time keeping supply and nursing or pumping all the time. Just remember to take it slow with the pills and that will make the transition for you and baby a lot smoother :)

Horrible Taste
I just started taking it today. Do you want to torture yourself? Do you want to regret most of your life choices? Then this mixture is the one for you. I don't know how my milk production will be but hopefully its worth it because it tastes like I went outside and licked my tree while chewing on grass. The smell is terrible, the taste is horrible, the size is quite big, and its easy to use. But if you want something that tastes good this is not it.

snake oil
ugh. when i bought this it was around $30.00, and 4 ounces ain't much when you are taking it three times a day. i am really not a believer in any sort of "holistic medicine". i draw the line at lavender oil during a massage smelling nice and that somehow helps you to relax, so needless to say i was not convinced this was going to help increase my supply, but out of desperation tried it anyway. i took it 3 times a day, waited to have anything to drink 20 mins before and 20 mins after until the entire bottle was gone. the only effect it had on me was making me smell like i had just spent three hours stocking shelves at an indian grocery store. i have learned so much more about lactation now. what actually works is more nursing, nursing as much as possible, tying you and baby to the couch and offering the nipple all day long. pumping after feeding helped a little, but increasing my nursing helped more. eventually, i finally had to start ordering domperidone online from canada, which is an actual legit medication and that did increase my supply. apparently it works for some of you, but i'd like to see some actual scientific studies on this stuff. mama's, give yourself time to build your supply, nurse, nurse, nurse. co-sleep and night nurse, don't bottle feed when in public- be brave and just do it, nurse! if all else fails domperidone has been proven scientifically to produce more milk. annnnd don't get me started on those stupid "lactation cookies" recipes that keep floating around. you have enough work with a newborn, keep it simple and keep the baby at the breast.

Get it!
Really works! My lactation specialist recommended this brand. I ahead have so many vitamins I take so I wanted to purchase this tincture rather than pills. At first I was putting the tincture straight on my tongue.. horrible- do not recommend. Now I add 4 measurements into my daily electrolyte drink and it’s great! My supply dropped a lot at 6 months pp. Went from 7oz each pump, down to 2oz. Now I’m back up to 5-7oz.

Mother love lactation pills gave me hope
I want to preface this review by saying I have never written a review in my life. I am currently 6 weeks postpartum and have been mentally struggling with not being able to obtain a significant milk supply. I struggle with seeing other moms show how much they can pump in one session when I feel like I hardly get anything- on top of all the other postpartum things you are going through it’s mentally exhausting. I have just enough to feed my daughter and maybe a few extra ounces for a single bottle but that’s not enough for when I have to return to work. I have only been taking these pills for two days and my pumping output went from 0.5-2 ounces per pumping session to now 5 ounces per pumping session… And I have only been taking two pills a day. I can’t tell you how happy this made me- I feel like there’s hope for my breastfeeding journey. Highly recommend to any mom struggling with output to give these pills a shot- what have you got to lose?
