I was going to try to replace the card but found that it would be too complicated if not impossible for me to install one. So I decided to look for a USB replacement. This one does the trick. You will need either an internal or external CD drive to install the driver FIRST. This one comes with a mini-CD which I inserted, clicked setup and installed the driver and than rebooted my laptop. I then popped in the unit and connected quickly and easily. The speeds are about the same as my wi-fi card so I'm happy!
