The best for seasoning cast iron
This is a high quality and reasonably priced flax seed oil. It has a bright grassy taste and no hints of bitterness which to me is a good sign that it’s fresh, pure and hasn’t been subjected to high heat. The best thing about this oil to me is that it is amazing for putting a nonstick surface on cast iron pans. I have a cast iron skillet that I cook with daily that I had been seasoning with almost every other oil imaginable and despite my best efforts the seasoning would end up flaking off around the outside edge of the frying surface. Then I tried flax oil and all my cast iron seasoning problems went away. The method was first described by food blogger Sheryl Canter. In short you want to coat the entire pan with as thin a coat of flax oil as you can, and then go back over it and try to get even more off (seriously you want the least amount of oil possible). Then place your pan in a 500*F oven (265*C) for one hour. Then take it out to cool. Repeat 2-3 times. You will have an amazing nonstick surface on your cast iron in no time. This is best done in the winter because it generates a lot of heat in the kitchen. This flax oil has become a routine part of my cast iron maintenance and I’ve already placed an order for more. Great stuff, I recommend it. Oh and it’s supposed to be good for you if you take it as a supplement so bonus? It’s a vegan alternative way to get omega3 fatty acids. Happy seasoning!Update: I just wanted to update this as I’ve started taking this as a supplement to up my omega3 fatty acid intake necause I’ve recently been experiencing a lot of inflammation. It hasn’t seemed to help with inflammation yet but it has dramatically enhanced my mood. I’ve been happier, clearer in thought, and more optimistic within days of trying it. I have had moments of increased energy as well but the fatigue I’ve had lately is still with me. The mood enhancement and clarity I’ve gotten from this is priceless. I highly recommend giving it a try. I take it with a bile acid salt supplement (Jarrow) to aid in absorption.

Great for seasoning your cast iron.
I heard that flaxseed oil was the best for seasoning cast iron, so I found this one on Amazon. Not the least expensive, but great reviews. I have to say, I've never had such a good layer on my skillet before! I've scrubbed the pan with soap, and this stuff stays on. Make sure your pan is clean, wipe it down all over with this oil, put it in your oven at 450° for an hour, turn the oven off and leave the pan in until cool. This stuff is the bomb. I guess most of you use it for supplement and cooking, but I haven't done that yet, except to taste it. I will say the flavor is very nice. Will probably add when making salad dressing, etc.

Slightly rancid - updated review
It's just one data point, but mine arrived with a broken cap (inner seal still intact, no leakage), and the oil was slightly rancid. I'm doing a return (thanks for the liberal policy Amazon) and will check back in with a second data point.6/4/21 The second bottle was much better, nice and fresh. Very usable in salad dressing. Olive oil is tastier, let's be honest, but doesn't compare in ALA and conversion to DHA and EPA. I've added one star (to four) and ordered another bottle. It seems there might be a sporadic problem with this, it's just a question of how often it happens!

Great product, does exactly what I hoped it would ...
Great product, does exactly what I hoped it would do! I bought this because my dog (Dobermann) suffers from dry, itchy skin, (dandruff) and a very dull coat. He was constantly scratching himself. I tried various "Moisturizing" shampoos and conditioners, but he was still always very itchy. I researched ways to combat dandruff and itchy skin and found that adding some flax seed oil to his food may help. I purchased three bottles so I'd have enough to give it a few weeks to work or prove that it doesn't work.I kid you not when I say that, after only about 4 days of using this, I noticed that nice Dobermann shine coming through and he was scratching less often! And, to make things even easier, he likes the taste! I've noticed that, when I add this to his food, he finishes all of his food. If I forget to add this, he'll eat about half and then leave the rest in his bowl. It's been a few months now and his coat has a really nice sheen to it. He still scratches a bit, but it's also spring time. It's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Overall, he seems much more comfortable now, and for that, I'm happy! If anyone is curious to try this, I would say go for it! I only add about 1-1.5 tablespoons to my dogs food in the mornings (he is 88lbs., so of course you'd need to adjust for a larger or smaller dog). I do not add this to his other daily meals; just once a day is enough.

This is a great laxative
I use this as a laxative. It's very fresh. There was no leakage from the bottle. The color of this oil is very pleasing to the eye. I keep it at a cold temperature and it's very versatile in cooking

Stinky stuff
I dunno about using this stuff as a dietary supplement. Flaxseed oil was suggested to me to use as a natural and inexpensive leather conditioner. It worked great for the intended purpose, but beware...it starts to smell absolutely horrible after a few days! It does kind of go away, but takes weeks. Would not do it again.
