MN21/23 and A23 12-volt batteries are all equivalent.
These MN21/23 12-volt batteries are the same as A21 batteries, and are used in a variety of devices. This pair of Duracell-branded MN21/23 batteries is reasonably priced, and they work fine in my garage door opener transmitters.

Remote car starter battery
I put the battery in one of my remote car starter and it works well. The other battery is not working, not sure if it's the battery or the remote.
