Laptop Bag for Women - 17 inch Handmade Luxury Computer Briefcase Shoulder Tote

This is just a review from a "regular" buyer.I purchased this bag for business use, as the other bags I had were getting older or not quite what I wanted for some meetings/events. I've now carried it to work for two weeks, as well as on a business trip (including flights).The bag, which I have in black, is quite nice in appearance. It looks luxurious and well made. I took the tassel off as a matter of preference, but that's just me. Size of the bag is very nice for business use. It holds my Macbook without an issue, or my iPad and planner. All three is too much for the bag, however. Once full, the bag is heavy, but not overly heavy, due to the faux leather material. Straps are a good length for carrying by hand or placing over the shoulder.Depth of the bag from front to bag is nice, except that the side pocket closures (magnetic straps) will not hold if the side pockets or center pocket are used at or close to capacity. I can put an iPad and some paperwork in the center, and then add wallet, keys, chargers, phone, and a few makeup items in the side without much of an issue, but if I add any more than that (computer, or a thicker makeup bag, or a book or agenda) then the side closures will pop open every time I lift the bag. I don't find this super problematic in my current day to day use, but I would be hesitant about using the bag in public transportation daily because a wallet in the side pocket would not be secure. Similarly, though I placed it on the side under an airplane seat with my foot propping it slightly so nothing would slide out, I would not put it in an overhead bin for fear of the items in the side pockets falling out.Customer service of the company is amazing. I contacted them via social media once with a question and via Amazon once with a different question, and the responses were extremely prompt and *very* helpful. I really could not have asked for more!Bottom line, this is a lovely bag and as long as you are comfortable with the idea of it being somewhat similar to an open tote, you'll be happy. If you need something that is more secure, you may wish to look elsewhere for now.I plan to keep my eye out for additional offerings from BfB in the future. It's that good.

I was having trouble finding a bag that would accommodate my 18”, 3/4” thick engineering laptop (measured closed for accuracy). Everything else that said 17” (my actual screen size) never take into account the bevel or closed thickness of many systems out there. I’ve ordered three that made such claims and my laptop wouldn’t fit. I also hate “the bulge” look some bags have (due to a narrow base)when you add just a few items. I wanted mine to maintain its sleek shape and not look like an over full shopping bag.This was my last shot, and it was the winner, and with a little wiggle room in the laptop section to boot! Also holds the power cord, some files, iPad, my phone, keys, and a few other items. I like the snap closures on the two compartments for easy access (safer than external compartments) and the fully zipped central compartment (fully padded, even the bottom) for my laptop. The metal nubs on the base will help protect it too.I got the red, which looks like patent leather, and since it maintains its shape, it looks professional . The material, seams, and workmanship are high quality, holding up well (it’s been 7 weeks). I like that I can replace the handles if necessary. Haven’t tried it on a plane yet, but due to its structure it might need to be laid on its side or leaning, diagonal... but this is merely a guess. Highly recommend this bag.

This Lindsey BfB bag is eye catching, the styling is sharp and draws looks and compliments each time I use it. The lightweight, durable PU faux leather is unique in quality and BfB uses the same manufacturer used by Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Calvin Klein. The pocket arrangement is terrific and it holds everything needed for a day to and from the office or with clients without appearing over packed but is not great for travel (the Melinda is the best choice for a travel work bag). The Lindsey does not fit under seats on an airplane without being turned awkwardly sideways and because the two side compartment have only a single snap and not full closures, small items fall all the way out of the bag when placed at any side angle (security screening, airplane under seat storage, etc.). So, keep it upright on its perfectly designed feet and you'll love it for years to come. Bought the wife a new Lenovo 15.6" laptop and she needed an appropriate bag. The bag is spacious. It holds the laptop, charger, and all the accouterments from her previous bag no problem. The quality seems good, zipper is well constructed, and the magnetic clasps are a plus. It is VERY red, but looks nice, and is a very professional appearing bag. The only drawback is that it doesn't stand up on its own as well as she'd like. Not sure how well it will hold up, but only time will answer that question.

For almost $160 .00 I expected a professional looking bag. What I got looked very cheap, because of the plastic edging. I later bought the gray one, because it has leather looking binding. I love the color red, and was so disappointed it didn't look nice because of the plastic edging.
