To use: place the chilling rod in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours. Before inserting the Vittorio wine chiller pourer into your bottle of wine, pour out a glass to prevent overflow. Insert the Vittorio wine chiller, serve and enjoy. To clean: unscrew the pourer from the chilling rod and rinse both units with warm water and dry.

Good product - awesome service!
Chills wines nicely (I keep in freezer). Perfect for room temperature young red wines. Works to keep pre-chilled whites perfect at dinner table. Customer service, if you have a problem, is truly beyond expectations. Will be buying a few more....Only "warning" - designed to pour into glasses. Don't expect this to pour at a rapid rate into carafes. It does what it says - pours a perfect GLASS of wine.I did love my old corkcicle - but if wine is served with every dinner (like at my house) - this is a much better solution. Stainless steel is far more resilient than glass or plastic. And if there is ever a problem, the Vintorio customer service will fix it.FYI - I was *NOT* paid for this review.

Great idea, subpar execution
The concept is great, however on first chill in the freezer the metal plug that holds in the gel medium in the metal tube popped out due to the gel expanding too much when frozen, similar to other reviewers experiences. The plastic pour spout works well and doesn't leak when pouring wine from thr bottle it is attached to. I still like the product even though my wine isn't chilled. 2 out of 3 per the description are valid.

as many others have noted, the top of the freezing rod popped off the first time I put it in the freezer. It is now just an overpriced aerator. At least the gel didn't spill in the wine...

The product came on time and in great condition. Upon opening the package, I felt that it was sturdy and well made. Once I refrigerated the wine chiller for an hour, I connected it to the pourer and plugged it into a bottle of white wine. The wine poured into my glass effortlessly and the aerator really brought out the flavors. Once I was done using the wine pourer, it was easily washed with water.If you drink wine, this small investment will make every bottle more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Vintorio Wine Chiller Pourer!

Defective - ruined a $25 bottle of wine!
the metal chiller portion literally fell apart the second I placed it in my bottle of chardonnay. Super upset!!!
