I bought an off brand filter that cost about half of this. The off brand was letting dirt/debris back into the pool and there were lines of silt at my returns. I bought this filter and vacuumed, there was no dirt returning to the pool. While this costs more it is worth it as the other did not filter the dirt out of the water.

Couldn’t fine one locally, pool store was 20% higher with a 5 to 8 day wait. Filter does a great job.

This item was very hard to find. I hope Amazon keeps this in stock. I can't believe how clear my water is after just one day of use. Yes, it is more expensive than a knock off but it does such a better job.I'll probably save money using less chemicals.

I looked and looked for a CS100E replacement filter and could never find one. Then one day I noticed the sticker on the side of my filter housing, and it showed this filter number. It is a direct replacement for the CS100E that came with my pool new, when it was installed. So if you are unsure, look for the sticker on your filter housing.. it will show you the replacement filter size.

I bought this filter because Leslie's recommended using no phos and it ended up ruining my original filter. This filter is 2 years old and I replaced it because of the 1 year age . It still worked ok. I then bought a Uline brand for 100 bucks that was supposed to be just as good as oem for half the price... NO!!! 6 months in and Uline seems to be letting a lot of things pass. I put back this filter and it cleared my pool within 2 days crystal clear... that is the reason I am giving it a 5 star and I will be buying again this summer for a backup. Hayward filter did the job work as intended nuff said.... worth every cent for me!!!!

Before I bought the Hayward filter, there were loud noises coming from the filter container and pressure was constantly high even though the previous non-name-brand filter was less than a year old and was cleaned weekly. I read an online post from somebody who had a similar problem and said it vanished after he bought an OEM filter. I was skeptical when I ordered the Hayward filter. But we've had it for about a month and things are much better. We no longer hear the loud noises and pressure stays in a reasonable range.The Hayward filter costs more than the knock-off, but I'm sold on it.
