haven't used it yet. my granddaughter will be here next week and I can't wait to try it. it's hard to wait for her to get here before trying it!

This is a waste of money. The magic dust does NOT dissolve all the way. (White flakes all over the top of the water) (Mixed it with the water for 10 or so minutes ) If that's not bad enough the color gel is so diluted. The green color just floated away out of the mold when added to the magic water and mixed with the water. ( The other colors:) We left them in the molds in the magic water for an hour shaking the molds often, the form never came out of the mold when we tried to get them out the outer layer of gel broke and the inner goop stuck to the mold. Waste of time and money. So disappointed !!!!!!

This is a pretty cool kit once you get past the fact that they don't provide you with the correct tools or instructions. Firstly, the tongs that come with the kit are useless. The molds are so buoyant that it's really hard for me (an adult) to hold them under water with the flimsy tongs they give you, let alone a kid doing it. So just go ahead and get out your kitchen tongs. Also, they tell you to soak the molds in water using the tongs. Why stand there and try to hold the things under water when you can just weigh them down with rocks? Now, on to the instructions. They say that if it's the first time using the mold, you may have to soak it for a couple minutes. Let me just manage expectations here and say that no matter how long you soak it, you will still mangle the first animal that comes out of the mold. So, just tell your kid that before you start, throw away the first one and then make another one. The second one comes out perfectly. Even after the mold has dried, you can soak it again (we soaked it for 10 minutes for good measure) and it still comes out great if it's not the first use. The magic water has lasted several weeks now and still works. I'm not sure what's in the water, but I was afraid of getting it on our hands because they say to use the tongs and use the little dipper thing to take the animals out of the water, but it doesn't specifically warn against getting the water on you. We've since gotten the water all over our hands and it has not had any negative effects.

LOVE THIS!!! What a great activity to keep kids busy. My 6yo daughter was busy with this for over an hour. She made over 20 animals. This is such a fun activity.

This is going to be one of the presents all parents will be rushing around at Christmas to find. We have this as a present for our granddaughters birthday and she loved it. It is definitely a five star item.

Bought 4 of these for grandchildren pure junk very disappointed

This kit contains everything you need to make up to 19 slimy, gummy sea creatures and a plastic aquarium to place them in. Instructions are easy to understand. To make the liquid Magic Dust solution, make sure you dissolve the powder completely before dipping the molds into the liquid.The molds are easy to fill with the included 6 tubes of colored gels. Once you place the mold in the liquid solution, gently shake it back and forth until the sea animal releases itself from the mold. Then leave it in the solution until it sinks to the bottom. Then it is ready to be placed in the aquarium.My son and daughter had a good time making these slimy, gummy creatures and enjoyed having them "live" in the included aquarium.Note: My daughter added some colored gravel rocks to the aquarium; they did not come with the kit.
