Give it some time
It looked brown and the leaves were somewhat shriveled when it arrived. It took about two weeks for it to perk up and look good. The weather here is staying to get 30s at night and it is still doing well. As long as it starts to grow again in the spring it's a great plant. update it is growing well in 80-90 degree weather

I purchased two plants in December and they arrived as small, leafless twigs. I transplanted them to larger pots about 2 weeks later and put them in a window that gets morning sun and watered them weekly. In May I transplanted them into a flower bed outside and both are doing well. They have grown about to about 10 inches tall and are covered in leaves.

Tiny
It was so tiny. I was hoping it would be bigger. I guess I didn't understand what the pot size meant, but it definitely was over priced for the size (IMO). I planted it in hopes it will survive and grow in the Spring (fingers crossed).

Great Service!
In May I purchased last available Arctic Fire Redtwig Dogwood (Cornus) + 4 Mother of Thyme plants. Even tho I picked them up late, they were in great condition & immediately thrived after planting. Unfortunately, was called away suddenly for 10 days during a hot spell & not knowing my new neighbors, had no one to call for watering. However both Arctic Fire Redtwig Dogwood & Mother of Thyme plants were very healthy, packaged REALLY well, & had I been home to continue proper care in newly planted state, am convinced by initial growth that they would have continued doing well. So am reordering from Hirt's (needed TWO Cornus anyway), as they are obviously very ethical & consciencious about their plants & shipping methods. No way they could be any better! Yay HIRT's!FYI - getting the 2 Redtwig Dogwoods to triangulate with coral-bark maple tree (a small japanese maple with red bark). It should look stunning in winter as we get a little occassional snow.

size
I don't have a comment yet as I just recieve it and the size is very small. I will see come next year if it survives the winter.

Would not recommend
I received these plants wrapped in cellophane. They were moist and some leaves were black. Planted all four, all four died. Replaced with larger plants from ShrubBucket, more expensive but quality plants and are still going strong.

Not Worth Planting
The three Redtwig Dogwood bushes from Hirt's Garden arrived in very poor condition. There was no root ball and almost no soil surrounding exposed roots -- the roots were dry. The leaves were wilted and had a brown/yellow color and at least half of the leaves had already fallen off.
