I did pretty good on my first try. My kit didn’t come with a gel cutter. I watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube about this product and it came with a bigger brush and a gel cutter; but I guess the one on Amazon is different. If you press from the bottom up when adding the nail it seems to not have bubbles and you get a smoother application. Another thing is holding down the nail under the light so it doesn’t lift up and cause a bubble while drying. I cured 5 times to make sure it sticks. The light is for 45 seconds, I know I timed it. So if you want to cure for one minute do it twice. That’s all for now. I’ll have to come back and update about how long it lasts.EDIT: last two pictures are my nails after 5 weeks. I should’ve made the nails thicker because they ended up chipping in the corners. It’s still stuck pretty good, I have to use acetone to remove it. My thoughts didn’t really change. I still think it’s good.

I have been seeing posts about DIY poly gel nails so decided to try it. The packaging is fine, the light is nice (very short USB cord provided), brush is ok. No instructions come with the products. The gel is VERY thick, hard to get out of the bottle.Slip solution helps, but there is a fine line between enough to thin it out and too much so won’t adhere to your nail. Nails do not come out solid pink like photos show. As a beginner, this was a difficult process. It’s going to take practice...which they give lots of forms. Would probably try to find a thinner gel next time. Will keep trying with this product though. Have a feeling the more I use it the better I’ll get at it. My first set, lots of excess around the nails, thick nails underneath.

This set is great for newbies to polygel! I would recommend getting a more sturdy brush to mold the polygel with and cure your nails twice as long as recommended for the best results. Store the tubes with the cap down, makes it easier to squeeze out the polygel

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in NJ, I decided to purchase this product to do my own nails. I get gel overlay twice a month and was badly in need of a refill. I watched a few videos and did my fill this past Sat., 3/21. They turned out good. I did purchase a drill and would suggest that if you can, get one too. I am excited and looking forward to my next refill and know they will be better the next time around. I shared pictures with friends and family and they all want me to do their nails too. This stuff does not "dry" for anything. It stays tacky and gross, no matter how many times you cure it. I tried 2 different uv lamps. I got one to dry enough to file and shape, it stayed tacky on the top and fell off with absolutely no grip within a half hour. I tried more slip solution, less solution, even no solution. Nothing. I switched to some I already had on hand and it worked like a charm with one cure. I do not plan on purchasing again.

Love the colors just wish the tube were fully filled. Other than only getting barely one set per tube with no mistakes allowed or you won't have enough gel, the gel is great to work with. There is low odor and its not sticky. Not too tough to spread with or without the forms. If I order again from this company I hope I have better luck with the amount I get. If that happens I might change my rating.

I really wanted to like this product but to be blunt, it didn’t work for me. Let’s start with the gel, it remained sticky even after 6 minutes under the UV light. I tested the light by using a different brand of gel and had better results. Next, we have the UV light it did what it was suppose to do but it cut off every 30 seconds this made it a bit more difficult to harden the gel. Lastly, the rush that came with the product broke upon opening its packaging
