Good Read
The writing is good and holds your interest fairly well. There is some repetition but it adds to the character and for the most part it remains focused and retains a good, exciting pace. I hope there is more backstory on his father and some other characters but it is a very good read. I look forward to book 2.

Just as good as I remembered it
This is one of the first Xuanhuan novels I ever read back in 2014 and it still holds a special place in my heart. So most of what I want to say has been said far better by other reviews. So what I'll talk about is what I think is this novel best strength compared to other Xuanhuan novels and that's liked characters. Most Xuanhuan protagonist are kind of heartless, selfish and kinda hypocritical. But linley is pretty likeable as are all(most) of the side characters. So I highly recommend this novel. If you want to try xuanhuan novels or recommend to someone else this is a good starting novel.

A very entertaining book.
I enjoyed this book. I always enjoy the hard working genius books in this genre. The MC is very interesting and fun to read about. The characters are interesting and I enjoyed the magical beasts in the story.

meh transition but it very much fits the genre
I mostly reread it because of the nostalgia vibes but it’s surprisingly catchy once you get past the bad writing flow caused by the transition

WOW you can tell its chineese
Excelent read, im a fan of Science Fiction books and this saga has captured me, sometimes you need to go through a lot of repetitions of exactly the same paragraphs but that is the way chineese give importance to certain subjects. However this gets better with book 2 onwards as the translation is more comprehensive.Very recomended as the story is fun and easy to read, excelent character development and growth.Linley and Bebe are now up there with Rand al Thor, Kaladin Stormblessed or Darrow au Andromedus.

BEST STORY IVE EVER EXPERIENCED
This is a book that I first read in late March of 2018 in the form of a manga but once I caught up with the manga I found out it had been adapted from a light novel. Not only that but the person who said that said that the manga was terrible compared to the original book which I found hard to believe because that manga was a favorite for me at the time. When I began to read this I noticed that the manga was doing the story an injustice and I read this entire story in a month (all of April). And now that it’s been a while I decided re read it and also support the author so I bought the entire series. Reading it the first time was great but it’s even better now to be able to go through this story again and brush up on the parts that grew murky in my mind. I plan to always re read this for the rest of my life but hopefully I’ll be able to buy this in the form of paperback in the future.

Better than expected
At first I was going to give this book 3 stars and then I thought about it and change it to four I don’t know if English what is the authors first language but once you get past some of the language issues the book is actually fairly good especially if you like potentially OP characters

A great slow burn!
I was so happy to find a slow burn that didn't have a crazy time skip, where the MC is suddenly 90, with 20 kids and a leaky prostate! (This time skip was reasonable)I got really into it! As for the few technical issues it had, I was relieved to find this was a translation and it explained everything (numbers and ages are hard).I liked the balance but wished a little more check ups on the family. Anyway I recommend reading!
