Good stuff.
This works well when you want an enamel top coat and want to avoid bleed thru or poor adhesion. It does a good job stabilizing rust and eliminating future problems. But it's best to use a Rust-Oleum enamel top coat.

Tough paint
First of all, I thought I was buying a quart can. Too my surprise I received a half pint. I somehow overlooked the size somewhere. But I used it anyway. This primer is a really tough paint. I moved the piece around a lot that I had painted after it dried. Hardly anywhere did I see any bare metal. I hope the top coat stays on as good as this primer.

The best metal primer i have used
Great product and thick so prevents dripping once applied. Still used a drop cloth just in case. 30 year old railing was brought back to life. Before you apply this don’t forget to prepare the surface by sanding

Should have paid more attention
Should have paid more attention to the size of the can. I admit that I did not. This was a small can, which has a significant mark up.
