My sister-in-law had one of these trash cans at her house and I happened to need to throw something away. I was so impressed with it that I decided to order one and it’s been great!My last trash can fit the same size bag but had a more narrow shape. The wider shape of this one is way better and I think helps wider things not get wedged so tight in it that it rips the bags (which used to happen more frequently with our last can). This one also seems to hold more trash somehow, even though the bag size is the same.Having a foot pedal opening is always a requirement for me. If you’re cooking or doing anything that results in dirty or full hands, being able to open the can with your foot makes things so much simpler.The specific design of this can also makes removing the bags pretty easy - nothing gets caught on any weird edges or anything.I have never used a trash can that I like better than this one.Last but not least, it’s pretty!

The Kohler 13-gal, trash can fits nicely in a corner of the kitchen. The rectangular shape works with the 13-gal. bags that I have. Stepping on the pedal opens the lid, no hands required. The lid closes slowly rather than bangs down.

It closes very softly and quietly. It perfect.3. The inner garbage can. It is easy to pull out of the can when changing bags. It it super sturdy and easy to clean if your bag leaks. It is also exactly the right size for a 13 gallon trash bag. The bag fits snuggly inside, not too tight or too loose and keeps the bag open fully. It’s perfect.4. Overall, it seems like a very high quality product. It’s well engineered and built with high quality materials. It is easy to use and keep clean. It’s perfect.5. It’s very cool looking and looks great in our kitchen. Once again, it’s perfect.You should buy this garbage can, you will love it.

The capacity of these cans is great. The rectangular design makes them space-saving and far less obtrusive than alternatives. They open and close easily with a foot press and have a removable inner shell that allows for easy cleaning. I bought two – one for trash and one for recycle. I love the modern design and shows white, which blends in to the wall color. They contain food smells well and have held up exceptionally well in a family that gives them a lot of use. Only downside: the metal will dent if you kick it or bump it into a wall.

I’ve never spent over $100 on a trash can before (because it just holds trash?), but this one is really worth it. My previous trash can was about half the price, also white metal finish with a soft close, and that one lasted about 2 years. I decided to splurge on the Kohler once the lid mechanism gave out.Some pros:- sturdy, stable- doesn’t tip over when empty and opening the lid- soft close is truly silent- finish prevents a lot of fingerprinting- easy to clean- plastic inner lining for easy rinsing- trash bag held stably without slip- not terrible lookingCons:- expensive- no mechanism to keep lid openIf you have the budget, go for it! Highly recommend!

Really sleek design—definitely nicer than your average kitchen trash can. The white stainless steel finish looks clean and modern, and it’s surprisingly fingerprint-resistant. The soft-close lid is quiet and smooth, and the foot pedal feels sturdy.Only reason I knocked off a star is the inside liner bucket doesn’t have any handles, so it’s a little awkward to lift out when it’s full. Still, overall really happy with it and would definitely recommend.
