Decent Solution RAINPAL Rain Barrel 3/4 inch Brass Ball Valve Spigot Kit w/Plastic Bulkhead Fitting and Garden Hose Hook Up (Without Hole Saw)

Finally got it to stop leaking. Not entirely the fault of the part. Its a tough spot to put that kind, and size of a part in.There is an alcove it has to fit in, which makes it almost impossible to turn the nut onto, on the outside. It fits back inside the face of the rain barrel. I had to remove the part,and do it the second time,and finally got it to settle into the opening where it had to go. Could have been a little smaller in circumference,after all they are made for this specific purpose. After less than a week in the "elements" the surface showed signs of rust. (it's brass)! Go figure! Finally,all I can say,is the price was right. Had to work for it,but had the proper tools to accomplish this task.

I really liked this at first, but after a few months, I realize part of the spigot that ties the lever to the ball in the joint is made out of a material that has seriously rusted. If this truly did not rust, it would be a great idea and a great value. Now, it may last less than a season before I have to move to another solution. I think I will go for an all plastic one after this experience.

I bought several of these to tie together several rain barrels. The bulkhead works great. Because I needed a female connection to tie my rain barrels together, I removed the valves and connected the male ends of the water hoses directly into the bulkhead.Have not used the valves for any other project yet, but the small diameter doesnt allow for a large mass flow.

brass cracked over the winter. There was minimal water in the barrel.

As described, and works fine. You can find the materials locally most likely, but if you want a quick shipment, this is the way to go.

Bulkhead popped right through wall of barrel. Faucet threads stripped with only hand pressure. Looks good in the ad though.
