Very Poor Design
DO NOT BUY. Very poor design. The item has drain plugs on the bottom; held in by clips. One is easily accessible. The other is recessed and only removable with pliers. But one little slip and the clip falls inside the unit.. No amount of shaking and twisting will get it out. I removed the back cover to try to retrieve it, but was unable to locate it. Looking inside, I could see it was poorly made. They're using zip-ties for hose clamps; and they're not doing it very well, one of them had slipped off.

Hot Water Quit Working
I've given this 3 stars because I've had it for 5 years. The hot water element quit working. Per their trouble shooting, they want me to take off the back and check the heating element or replace it. With what? Do they carry the spare part? I will need to purchase a new one, and after reading the 1 star reviews here, I think I'll go in a different direction. This has been sitting on my desk for 5 years. My water cooler at home, (a bottom loader, sits on the floor and a different brand), I've had for 10 years.

No flow for the 20 oz test run? Try with the large bottle on top.
After trying to follow the instructions about flushing it with 20 plus oz of tap water before use, nothing flowed from either spigot, plugged or unplugged, no way no how. Before packing up to send back though, we tried it with the 5 gallon jug on top. Voila! It flows now. This could be another tip for the troubleshooter guide.Attractive unit!

Great water dispenser
Got it for my daughter's apartment; fits on the counter perfectly with a small footprint, keeps water cold and is very quiet, dispenses hot water when needed. Use the Zero water jug adapter with this and it fits perfectly and is stable.

You get what you pay for.
I bought this unit because I wanted "small" for my countertop and because I am not an industrial user I thought I could get away with inexpensive. NOT.Cheap construction, poor design concepts and bad plumbing for the whole 3 inches or so of plumbing required. It broke the second day I had it.I was not impressed when I opened, unpacked and started the machine. I was less impressed when it worked poorly - cold water only dripped from the spout, hot water not much better, and was DONE when it brokedown the second day.Thankfully this happens RARELY with Amazon goods. And Amazon is THE BEST when it comes to returns. I've had 2-3 over the years, but Amazon is great and that's why I keep shopping them fearlessly.

Not the best water cooler
I opted for the compact water cooler. Looks and feels cheaply made. Says to run up to 20 oz. of hot water before putting new bottle on. Sounds like a waste of water. Maybe I'm reading the instructions wrong. Set up a pain also.

Does not get cold enough
This is good for a small space.I am 8000ft above sea level, compared to water from my faucet this does not get cold enough specially in summer when I bought it. But if you need it with your filtered bottle and speed it does its purpose. It says in the instruction that its been washed and ready to use. It is not! I had to wash it at least about 3x to get the bad taste out with diluted baking soda. Its plastic so you need something stable to put it on, countertop might be a better fit.
