Student Solutions Manual, Single Variable, for Thomas' Calculus: Early Transcendentals

This is a helpful book, but occasionally the solution problem does not match the textbook problem numbers. I have the 13th edition of both the textbook and solution manual. Also, for those who are unaware...solution manuals (including this one) only give solutions to odd numbered problems.

The layout of the solutions sometimes makes them difficult to follow, but the solutions are good nonetheless. A little more detail would be nice.

I am a Calculus II student, and a Chemical Engineering major. I bought this as a supplement to the textbook, because my professor does not require homework, or grade homework, so I needed a way to judge where I was at, and to help myself learn. I bought this textbook thinking I would be getting a full solutions manual to all the homework exercises. I was a bit disappointed when I discovered it is, in fact, full of the fully worked out answers to the ODD questions in the book, which you can find only the answer to in the back of the book. While these answers are correct and help you understand how to get the answer, I would have liked to see at least the EVENS if not all the answers. I would also like to point out the size of this book, if you have the paperback, 13th edition, of the textbook the manual is about 1/8 of an inch less in width, and all the other dimensions are essentially the same. I would give this manual 5 stars if it had given at least the fully worked out answers to the EVENS, and let me find the answers and check the back of the textbook, and if it had given maybe a paragraph synopsis, or hints, or tricks, to aid you in the beginning of each section.

Book was exactly as described. Little to signs of wear/use.

4 stars because the book only answers the odd questions, otherwise its perfect.
