Excellent phone holder
Excellent solution. I've given it a five star rating because the device works very well. It fit very snugly (easily tight enough for travel) into the cup holder. Although extra pads were provided for wide cup holders, they were not required. The small part of the cup holder at the bottom is 3 1/4" in diameter. The wider part at the top is 3 1/2" in diameter. The holder fit nicely in the smaller lower part of my cup holder. This is in my 2004 Lincoln Navigator. You can see the small and wider parts in the included photos. It was VERY easy to snap the phone holder onto the goose-neck cup holder. And it was very easy to insert the cup holder and tighten it securely. It holds my iPhone 11 with a small case nice and tight. The holder WOULD accommodate my phone with an Otterbox or similar *size* case on it. It's not coming out under normal driving conditions. Inserting the phone is just a matter of placing it on the holder and squeezing the side holders until they hold the phone. Releasing it is just as easy. Press the release button on back and the side holders relax. I was able to easily bend the goose neck into a position that gives me an excellent view of the phone when driving. It is well out of the way of the shift lever and still affords easy access to the dash switches. The neck did not move at all during driving the first day. I tried replying to a couple of emails today with the phone in the holder. It DOES move a little but not enough to make using the phone/keypad for emails awkward enough to remove the phone. I hate that it takes a cup holder away. But, it is easy to remove if that ever becomes important. It is not Bestrix's fault I lost the cup holder. That's down to Lincoln. I tried putting the phone on the dash above the radio but it got hot enough that it shut itself down. I will not "stick" something to the dash. I will not use flimsy vent mounts. I tried a window mount but there was no place I put it that I did not feel it was in the way. Additionally, mounting on the window means draping the charging cable across the dash. I tried laying it on a phone pad by the shift lever but it invariably got in the way. The cup holder is, IMHO, the best solution I've found. This will, of course, be different in different vehicles and personal preferences. I would buy another one and recommend this one to anyone - with a caution to check the planned location first. This is the one thing I did not do. Fortunately, this holder worked fine. I think I would have returned one with a longer "neck". I would also be concerned that a holder with a longer "neck" would move around too much for me.

Great tech accessory for the right price
This holder is great for hands-free auto usage. I ordered 2, one for each of our cars. The vents in my older model Jeep Liberty wouldn’t really accommodate clip holders, so this cup holder mount works perfectly in my console, keeping the phone close enough for voice calls and navigation. Easy to install and adjust. The product description was upfront that it was not made to fit the heavier duty protective cases like Otterbox, or Pop Sockets, etc. and this is true. I have an average Speck candy shell case on my SE, and I added a stick-on credit card sleeve to the back. I have to remove the cards in order for the bottom lip to hold my phone in the vertical position; however, if I flip the holder horizontally it will hold the phone even with the cards in the back. I’m not sure if it would still hold going over bumps, and it would be great if the bottom lip/tray were deeper, but seller is upfront about that. Seller is attentive and even contacted me on expected delivery day to make sure it arrived in good condition. All in all, this is a nice, convenient product with a GREAT price point - less than 25% of the cost of Weathertech’s version.

Very Sturdy, good product
This phone mount is great, the mechanism to hold it in place in the cup holder is perfect and secures the whole unit perfectly. The arm that holds the phone is very sturdy and stays in place. I'm rating it four stars however because I did not find the arm to be long enough. My cupholder is a little further back than most cars I guess, (2014 Ford Focus), so the arm did not position the phone far enough forward. I'm returning the product and I really wish there was an option for a longer arm because I would buy that in a heartbeat.

THIS IS THE ONE!
OK, someone did their homework and actually tested this product. It works beautifully. As recommended, I read the simple instructions before pushing the buttons and twisting and turning knobs. I have a Toyota Camry and added the extension pads. Wha La! While placing this in my dual cup holder, I turned the adjustment knob and I have an awesome snug fit. There is no way this cell holder is going to come loose; however, it's super easy to remove by a twist of the lower adjust knob. I have an IPhone 10x Max with a leather wallet. It's pretty easy to slide out of the wallet but I decided to fold the wallet back to see if this product would hold both the phone and wallet while opened and YES!!! This product held it tight while I attempted to bounce and joggle it to see if it would fall out and NO. It had a great grip. In summary, this product will hold my phone with or without its wallet. I would have taken a picture of this awesome product but my phone was in the holder. The height is approximately the same as my GPS and the turning/adjustment capability is all I could hope for. It tilts and then swivels for the optimal viewing while driving. Highly recommended!!! BUY THIS ONE!!

It’s too small
I have to stuff things around it because my cupholder is too large. Needless to say, it’s not sturdy. Before I start going somewhere, I stuff my face mask around it, put the phone in it, and it will stay put, but the effort needed to remove the phone from the holder will undo all the packing. I don’t know why I didn’t send it back. Previously the choices were to keep my phone in my pocket, which trapped it under the seatbelt. Other choices, loose in the cupholder or sitting on the console, caused it to fall. If I left it in my purse, it was inaccessible. I didn’t want it fastened to my dashboard or vents. I have a big 15-year-old car, but I don’t want a different one because it’s VERY dependable and has never needed a repair. Do newer cars finally have built-in places for phones and purses? Have car designers finally realized women drive cars?

A really good ridged phone holder at a budget Price
I’m not sure why amazon wanted me to rate ‘suction power’? This device is more like a vice inside your existing cup holder, works well on a newer Mini Countryman, and I will certainly buy one for the coupe. This holder isn’t 100% ridged, but it’s awful close. There is enough axis of movement to keep the phone away from the vehicles controls and still retain rigidity. I have been using it every morning to hold my phone (IPhone 11 Pro) with no real issues. I have sinked music, maps, and radio with no interference. I have driven in multiple weather conditions and the phone has stayed put. For Mini owners this is a far better option than holders that use the air vents to attach.

BESTRIX Goose Neck Car Cup Holder for Mobile Phone Works Great
I've tried other automobile, mobile phone holders which utilize the air vent, dashboard and windshield; nothing worked well. They either blocked my vision, dash display/knobs/vent or the phone would twist or fall out of the holder. This BESTRIX Goose Neck Car Cup Holder works very well for my needs in our Toyota Highlander. It is very flexible, yet strong. It doesn't get in the way of the vents or dash display. I love that the bottom of the phone is ~ 6 inches above the cup holder and it has never fallen out or moved. My phone does have a phone case. When installing, just twist the mobile phone holder's base while it's in the car's cup holder until it's snug. With the added pads, I assume it would fit almost every situation. I'd highly recommend this item.
