Charge it Quicker!
UPDATE 07-27-16: Someone asked a good question and I realized (in reviewing my review) that I should have written iPhone 6 plus and above would show an improvement in charging not an iPhone 6. Sorry if that screwed anyone up. The biggest reason for buying this combination of charger and cable is for the iPad pro series.Ran right out and purchased this to use in conjunction with my iPhone and now larger iPad Pro (12") to charge them quicker. Using this 29W adapter with Apple's USB-C to Lightning adapter will charge your iPhone 6 and above, as well as, iPad Pro tablets in about ¾ the time it would with the chargers that come with the products initially. Apple has changed the wiring in these devices to allow much faster charging and the 29W USB-C will deliver it. Unfortunately, you will also need to buy the Apple adapter (I mentioned earlier), as there is currently no known USB-C to Lightning cable combination available.

Buy the original and not a clone/copy (like I did) that ends up not working on your iPad Pro! Well worth the extra price!
Works perfectly on my new 2018 Gen2 iPad Pro 12.9!YES, this is an OEM/Original Apple logo on the box charger. Be sure to check dates of reviews that said it was a clone and box had no logo. they may go back a year or more ago. Perhaps there were issues, nut, I'm feeling there is no longer a clone issue. This one IS Apple all the way and is as described on the Amazon product page.I tried other after-market copies which failed to even be acknowledged by my iPad Pro.Buy the Apple. Yup, a little more costly, but, no issues and full compatibility. Also to note, no new costly cable needed! On Amazon search for the the -Macally USB-C to USB A 3.0 Adapter (2-Pack)- and it plugs right into any standard usb to lightening cable. No need to purchase pricey cables as these little adapters did the job and they provide a nice snug fit for good contact and hold as well!Apple might be more expensive up front, but, you'll save time and a few Amazon returns as well going this route!

Absolute necessity if you have an iPad Pro 12.9 inch- Apple shoudl know better
The iPad Pro is a power hog and the USB charger provided with the device is basically worthless. You need the power of this charger to make it usable in a business or personal setting. Its a shame as the charger and the USBC cord will set you back another 80 buck. Apple should have just thrown them into the 12.9 in iPad pro as its expensive enough and this level charger is essential to having this be a useful tool.Assuming that if you sprang for the iPad Pro you probably have other Apple products. The power adapter is slightly bigger and heavier than the 12W USB charger. That is not readily apparent looking at either charger say in a bag or on a desk, requiring you to pick up one to make sure you know which one you have. Again, it is essential to have teh 29W adapter if you are using the iPad pro for the day as it will not hold a charge for a full day with heavy use. Some indication of the difference would have been thoughtful. I know it destroys the white metaphor, but its decidedly confusing.Overall I really like the iPad Pro and its helped change the way I work and create. But I hated it until I read online about the ability to use a different power adapter and now the Pro is replacing my PC.

Yes, it's expensive - but it's Apple, and it works...and you just paid a fortune for your sexly slip macbook, so...
Yes, it's expensive. What are you going to do? You need an extra power adapter if you travel, like me.Works fine. Don't forget you still have to buy the USB-C cable with this (agree with other reviewers - kind of nuts they don't include that).

Change and Charge your iPad Pro Life!!
If you own an iPad Pro, put down your Apple Pencil, turn off that podcast, and order this beast. This turns your iPad Pro into a device you will no longer worry about having charging time to use it.The velocity with which it charges your iPad Pro will take away all the anxiety of trying to keep "a reserve" of battery power, just in case. This charges it super fast. It's not cheap when you consider you have to buy the overpriced cable you need for this. But I don't regret it for one second.Highly highly recommended.

Better ways to speed your iPhone charging time
If you're looking for a quicker means to charge an iPhone, keep going. For the expense of this item (not even considering the need for a Lightning to USB-C cable), it makes little real impact in charging time in my experience. I cannot comment on MacBook use, however.Better ways to speed your iPhone charging time:1. Turn on Airplane Mode.2. Turn on Low Battery Mode (under Settings/Battery).Do both together and your charging time will drop dramatically. Of course in Airplane Mode, you won't receive calls and wifi/bluetooth are turned off by default (but can be reactivated at the cost of some of your time saving).I'd bet the next iPhone will adopt USB-C to standardize cabling across their new lines (and introduce a new expense for cables and adapters) but for now, I'd wait for that time to come.

Check your equipment for Compatibility FIRST.
First: All apple products, Ive found to be well made and long lasting when used properly. Only off-brand has not lasted for me... BUT having written THAT... I think apple should make it a point with this 29Wtt charger to ALERT BUYERS that it cannot be used on regular USB apple products AND is not returnable! So be 111% certain you get the charger that fits your apple product... Im just sayin... I had purchased 4, and no one I know uses them so far! No return permitted. That hurts! Apple is the platform I love to use, so sorry this did not work out.

Works Well With 2017 MacBook Pro laptop
I bought this for my 2017 Macbook pro laptop, because it is both cheaper and lighter than the 61w adapter. It works great - it charges up my Macbook Pro just fine, and is smaller and easier to carry around than the 61w adapter. The charging pace is slower than the 61w, but that is fine for me.
