Best bang for your buck performance quadcopter on the market.
I purchased this Quadcopter after spending about a week researching various price points. I was looking for a low cost quadcopter that would be fun to fly, enough power to life a GoPro style camera and the ability to modify if needed. What drew me to this over similar ones such as the Syma X8 was the performance. The Tarrantula X6 is quite fast and honestly can be a little intimidating as I am still somewhat new to the hobby. The model I ordered did not have a camera by design as I am not sure the camera based on the video I have seen is worth the extra $50+. But if you don't want to mess with a custom solution, the camera might be worth it.Here is a list of PRO's and CON's so far:PRO's- For its size and cost, I am not sure you can find a more agile drone and one that is a blast to fly.- Even is decent winds it is pretty stable. I took it out in 15 MPH winds and didn't have much problem flying it around- Plenty of power to lift a GoPro. (I wonder if I could carry one of my cats due to the power of those 4 engines)CON's- There is no On/Off switch. Makes me nervous when handling before and after flights.- The battery door requires a screw to open and close. I removed the screw but the door is just barely held on.- The landing gear is VERY flimsy. I am not sure if this is to help absorb the shock when landing but I get the feeling this could snap at anytime.- One of the blue lights on the arms never turned on which makes me question the quality control.Overall for the price, I think the Tarantula is worth every penny and if they can tweak a couple of the issues on the next version, it would be amazing

Steep learning curve but fun to fly
I bought thish because of the price point; and thought it might be a good drone to learn to fly with. I was wrong. This thing is as powerful as the instructions are terrible. I discovered that the problem I experienced with calibrating the device, is that you need to leave it flat on a level surface when plugging the battery in for about 10-15 seconds. If you do that, then chances are you won't experience all the problems I've had. Notwithstanding, I have purchased two of these. I think it is a fantastic and fun drone.

You can't beat this quad for the money , really fast and tons of fun !!!
This is a awesome quad really fast and nimble. If you want a fast sporty quad that can still capture videos this is the quad to buy. I didn't get the camera but I really wished I would have. I hear that with some modifications it can take some decent footage. It's probably a decent camera if your not expecting incredible video at least that's what I hear and have seen on YouTube. Like I said I bought the model without the camera. I can definitely recommend the quad though I love it.

Battery flight time could be better, but can't take star off
I bought this as well as the Texas bearings and the battery 3 pack. Both items listed at the I me of this review as "also purchased". Can not speak to effectiveness of the bearings, but for 10 bucks why not. Drove is exceptional at this price point. Battery flight time could be better, but can't take star off. Started out on 40% mode and just using pitch and thrust, no yaw. I got better and am now at 100% and using pitch thrust and yaw. Great beginner and intermediate drone. Extra battery's is a must. I can't imagine taking drone out for 5 minutes at a time. I also got rid of the bottom plate over battery's and put two very small bungees creating an X over battery compartment. No on off switch = so what?

Flys like a pro!
5 stars represents what the quad is for the price. I looked at hours worth of footage online before I decided to buy this drone. I am not ready for a professional DJI or Blade style quad, but wanted something that would carry a GoPro. Many video reviews on youtube noted the power and agility of this quad, but I wasn't prepared for what it would deliver.Out of the box, I decided to fly it full boar right away, even thought some sites said that you should "break in" the motors. They are about 10 bucks to replace, and as such it didn't seem like it was worth it to spend the time with the break in process when the motors are so obviously cheap anyways. They ARE going to wear out, and will need to be replaced as long as the rest of the quad is still operational.I did purchase the Traxxas 3x6x2 bearing set to replace the copper bushings. After install it doesn't seem to make a ton of difference, and since I don't know how long the first set of motors will last, I don't know if it is helping to prevent wear out or not, but I assume that it is doing something.Couple of things to keep in mind.It IS very cheaply made. The plastic is cheap, and hard, which means easy cracking. The landing gear is very flimsy. The battery takes a full hour to charge. If you want to fly it more often than that, buy yourself another battery and possibly another charger. The rotors are fairly sturdy. I have crashed the quad several times not, with only minor dings to the rotors. Will probably have to replace soon with the set that came with it.This is NOT a beginner quad. Please note that it would be good to get started on a hubsan x4 or some other smaller, less powerful quad, before you venture into this guy's territory. You will end up breaking it.For the price, I don't know if the flight intensity and maneuverability can be beat. I have flown many other quads, and none of them have as much power or fun packed into them out of the box.

Just getting into aerial photography and have done some neat ...
Just getting into aerial photography and have done some neat 3D printed mods. This thing is actually quite impressive with it's stability and control-ability. Also, it has a decent amount of lifting power as I have my Polaroid Cube camera and and mount attached to it and does quite well with it on board. Due to the mounting, the flight characteristics have not changed at all. Very impressed with this beast!
