Butterfly (Life Cycle)

Great instructions on hatching your own butterfly.

This is a beautifully illustrated book describing the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. My kindergarten students have been able to absorb accurate information and they enjoy "reading" this book to the younger students in our mixed-age Montessori classroom. I highly recommend this book!

Very informative and a lot of detail. Very up to date as far as pictures and colors . It worked well for my kindergarten and first grade kids . I used this in conjunction with the Insect Lore butterfly caterpillars that you send away for.

I used this book for a life cycle unit in my third grade class. We all enjoyed it and learned many new facts that many books leave out! It was the perfect level for my students!

This book is wonderfully written for kids 9-12 years old. It has mostly live photographs and also includes well done, interesting illustrations, bold print of key words, plus the monarch is one of my favorite butterflies. Here are the contents: 1 BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES (Nineteen species of butterflies shown.) 2 WHAT IS A BUTTERFLY? (Keywords: insect, thorax, abdomen, antennae, compound eyes, nectar, probiscus) 3 WHAT IS A LIFE CYCLE?
