Jog for life,not for times.
Reminder of the great value of low intensity exercise, particularly for those of us whose fastest times are well behind us. Like Maffetone, not all advice for me, but tells us that low intensity is of great value for life in general. Tone is a bit preachy.

I could run for miles
I bought this together with a pair of shoes as part of slow running. I love the technique. I get good consistent aerobic and cardio. Not even tired - I could run for miles. Love this book.

a small book with a lot of filler
This book is ok . The actual instructive bit is short , there is not a lot to learn so not a lot to say . They then had to find ways of plumping out the book otherwise it would be a pamphlet . Things such as how to carbo load before doing a marathon . I think most people doing slow jogging just want to keep their heart healthy not take part in a marathon . Theres also a section of peoples experiences with slow jogging . The training schedules are sampled out of other books .I would have preferred more on this .It does give evidence of the effectiveness of slow jogging which is encouraging to persist with doing it .

Great for beginners
New to running, great read for beginners to understand you don’t need to go fast .Now I run at a better pace and was happy to keep to look back at slow jogging when I am not feeling so good .

Easy to read and reminds you that running is for life and to enjoy it. Do rush the process and take time to enjoy the world around you when you run.
