Disguise Marvel Captain America The Winter Soldier Movie 2 Child Shield, No Size

We bought this for our 6 year old son for Christmas last year. He LOVES playing dress up and is always in some sort of costume.When I first opened it, I was a little disappointed at how thin it was. The over all size is small, but the dimensions are clearly written in the description. I just wasn't expecting it to be as flimsy as it was. As expected, it didn't last but a week before it got cracked :/ My son LOVED it so the crack didn't stop him from playing with it but after about a month, a piece finally broke completely off. He was disappointed and I finally threw it out because the edges were so sharp.The paint job is nice though. They did a good job with making it look like it was made well.Over all, it's very cute, but more to be used as a costume accessory, not necessarily to play with.

The shield itself is fairly sturdy. However, the glued on straps broke after only an hour of play. Superglue only held it back in place for an hour or so of trick or treating. You could argue that it's just a costume and not meant to be played with except that it is a child's toy/costume piece. It should pretty much be sturdy enough for an entire day's play. I will try some gorilla glue soon to see if it can be repaired but I really shouldn't have to do that for a brand new item. It's ok but you might want to consider looking for something with a larger price point and quality.Pros:-size is just right.-Paint job is good.-Flexible but sturdy.Cons:-Straps not glued on well.-Price is probably a little high for the quality.

Captain America is just not complete without his trusty shield! My 5 year old son has just about every muscle costume there is and he chose this one to wear out for Halloween this year. That being the case, when he dressed up, I wouldn't let him use this one so nothing happened to it before Trick or Treating. The shield itself is a sturdy plastic material but it scratches VERY easily. For as little as he's used it and he doesn't play as rough as a typical 'get your knees dirty' kinda boy, when he used it, there was some paint chipped off here and there. It served its purpose and completed the outfit, but he's careful with his toys so I cannot imagine what it would look like if he was like my little brother when we were growing up!

Too small for an adult-get the 24". My family usually takes pics in costume so I got the 12" since on the description it states "no size". My son loved it but this was actually for me. It didn't quite work well with a XXL size individual so I ordered the 24". Funny thing is the two shields are two different colors. The smaller one has brilliant blue, red and silver while the bigger one seems a bit dull. It worked out for me because the adult costume is the dull colored winter Captain America. Although, I would have been very disappointed to get the wrong color match to the costume.

This shield was perfect for my Captain America costume and made my son's life a little bit brighter after he was able to add it to his collection. The plastic is very sturdy and can take a beating. Not sure if they changed the material they make this product from but its not near as bad as some of the bad reviews make it out to be. It arrived quickly and seamed to be made of a sturdy yet flexible plastic that has proven quite durable! It survived Halloween with my 4 year old and has since become a frisbie a plate a stick battle shield and a seat and has suffered only scratches! The handles are still in tact and it hasnt so much as cracked so I give this toy shield 5 stars! Who knows, if we get snow this year I can see him using it as a makeshift sled as well!

I expected this to be junk, but ours has held up really well. 8 months after Halloween, and he still plays with it. The paint is scratched, but it never broke. He even stepped on it several times without it breaking. He took it to show and tell at preschool today, all the kids said "wow" when he got to school and put it in the "share bin". Glad he's getting a lot of use out of it.

I ordered this for a 6 year old boy for Christmas. The only good thing I can say about this is the color is a better match for the new Captain America vs the brighter red, white, and blue of the classic comic book Captain America. The shield is VERY thin. Imagine a very nice disposable plastic plate for comparison. If this is for any more than one night (Halloween) I would not at all recommend this. I'm returning it before it snaps and cuts my son as I imagine it will become sharp blades of thin plastic and quite dangerous.

My son loves this shield as unfortunatley his dress up outfit did not come with one. I ordered after Christmas and it arrived in time for early January. The shield is great quality for a toy and it is getting plenty of use!

The shield arrived on time but unfortunately isn't as described. I bought the product based on the picture looking better than others for sale but turns out its the same as the others. Our 4 year old nephew won't care about the difference but I do. I have attached a picture of the shield recieved.

Expensive but totally worth it for the look on my son's face when he unwrapped it. One year on, it has a few 'battle' scars and scuffs but still going strong.

Son loves this and we have hung it on his wall. Is the best I have found and looks great, quite thick plastic so good quality. Wld buy again!!
