There aren't any instructions in the box, and my son can't get the nerf gun to work. How do we figure out what to do?

Pull back on the slide, the area on top of the blaster, above the pistol grip. Flip open the orange door in front of the slide. Insert up to 5 Rival balls into the opening. Close the door and push the slide forward. The blaster will now be ready to fire a round. Pull back the slide and push it forward to fire the next round. Continue until all 5 rounds have been fired, then repeat the loading steps.
