An Introduction to Stata for Health Researchers, Fourth Edition

The book is very confusing, it is not well organized to have hands-on practice. For example, it does not list which dataset to use in doing exercises or might jump to another dataset without specifying what dataset it is. This is a waste of money to buy. Better use other books or take courses in udemy.

Super useful. It is just the book you need if you are going to analyse "epidemiological" datasets. This book tells you stuff that is pertinent to this type of research for healthcare researchers, such as how to handle ICD 10 codes, cross tables for case-control studies and much more. Indispensable.

Whether your background is in healthcare or some other sector, this is hands down the best introduction to STATA. It grows your knowledge of STATA organically and stays away from fluff. Every sentence and example is carefully chosen so as to improve the reader's understanding of STATA and as the authors achieve what they claim in the preface - empower you. The book is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Eu já li outros livros no estilo tutorial que ensinam a utilizar o pacote estatístico Stata, mas nenhum tão completo quanto este que, ainda por cima, trás aplicação para pesquisadores da área da saúde, o que apreciei muito, uma vez que o outro livro que eu li trazia exemplos da área da economia.
