Good product
Used to tension wires used for trailing plants in garden. Works well & can be tensioned to maintain tightness.

Quality item made of good metal
Has that robust feel of decent 304 stainless steel. The turnbuckle is reasonably solid in its own right and provides enough space around the shanks to get a good grip and lengthen/shorten as needed. (And if anyone at Amazon is able to reverse the refund I requested - I hadn’t realised the eye end is reverse threaded and thought they were all jammed - please do. These really do work very well.)

Take care in adjusting
Make sure that you allow for the screws not tightening up equally. One screw ended its travel defore the other. The turnbuckle was big and strong enough to repair the 4.5 mm top wire holding up a trellis fence.

Professional look to climbing plant support wires
Bought to provide support for a variety of climbing plants on a stone wall. I used 3mm plastic coated wire, large eye hook screws set in wall fixings and attached the wire to the tensioner (the most tricky bit was making the twists to anchor the wire to the tensioner) then simply tighten to make the wire nice and straight. I would advise you to loosen ie set the tensioner at its longest before installing then simply rotate the barrelled centre to tighten. Looks much more professional than trying to stretch wire manually.
