Useful in making my own high-power resistor
I decided to buy this wire to make my own power resistor for my corded electric mower after 3 manufacturer-supplied resistors burned out after a short period of time. I determined the actual power dissipation requirements were much higher than what the manufacturer's resistors could take. So I designed my own using this nichrome wire and some Plaster of Paris to be able to absorb this high power. So far, it is working well. The resistor is used to quickly brake the spinning blade after shutoff.

wound a new toaster oven heating element
I bought this last year to make a new heating element for our toaster oven after one of the originals kept failing near the end. Coming up on 1yr since the repair, no issues.If you are using this to repair/replace a part, just make sure the diameter of your wire is the same as the original - that way you are in the same ballpark of resistivity and the same length of wire as the original will give you the resistance desired.

Product worked as advertised
We too are a small business. The Nichrome wire was used in a DIY plastic substrate bender construction.It served it's purpose of heating up and melting plastic enough to bend it to shape.We were able to complete a $2000 job of 200 tent signs for a local motel in 2 days.We will be using more of the wire to construct a foam cutter.
