Surprisingly Effective
I'm a long time user of devices aimed at measuring Heart Rate Variability (HRT) with the goal maximizing the mental and physical benefits of a state called High Coherence. As such I already own two emWaves and an InnerBlance from a company called HeartMath which is considered to be the pioneer for research and tools in this area. But because I'm always open to something new and I've longed for a wearable device that measures HRT, I decided to try this device in spite of the fact I was somewhat skeptical.I was pleasantly surprised. After a week or so of 3-minute sessions once or twice a day with the Phyode W/Me, I went back to my InnerBalance and discovered my ability to achieve and maintain a state of High Coherence had improved dramatically.Aside from the fact that it is wireless wearable device that uses Bluetooth 4.0 to sync with my iPad Air, I do not see any earth shattering breakthroughs here. In fact, I agree with the observations that other reviewers have made about how fragile the connection is during a session and you really have to remain still for three minutes to keep the measurement going. However, this device has a few powerful advantages that have helped me to propel my progress:1) Each session is a discrete 3-minute block of time. Because it's not open-end, you have a goal to achieve High Coherence within that amount of time. You are motivated to achieve a favorable score.2) Instead of abstract HRV values, the device expresses metrics in terms that really get you motivated. The one that always gets me motivated to do my best is "age." Who doesn't want to achieve a state where your estimated age is 10 years younger or than you actual biological age?You always take a chance as an early adopter. I'm glad I did in this case. I'm looking forward to new versions to come as well other wearable devices like this one will be coming out in the near future.

Great, Early Product
This is an innovative product. It has rough edges, but that is to be expected. For me, it doesn't accurately read my heart rate when it's on my wrist. But if I take it off, and use my fingers on the sensors instead (and hold very still), it works great.I contacted support about this, and about getting access to an SDK for iOS, and they responded promptly and were very helpful. I have no qualms being an early purchaser of this product.

HRV is average and comfort is very bad
The HRV function works okay but doesn't give you any tangible numbers. More suited for the average person who has no idea what HRV is or how to measure it. The other functions were basically useless.Very hard plastic that is not comfortable at all. Certainly wouldn't wear it around, ever. Just put it on to measure HRV and then removed.

Good Product
It is a great wellness tracker but it just isn't what I am looking for. Am wanting something that tracks more vital signs and can warn of spikes of stress levels, etc.

Definitely Different
I've had an orange W/Me for several months now. I love it. The company's customer service is good too. I've emailed back and forth with them quite frequently, giving lots of feedback and asking lots of questions. They're a small company so it may take them a bit to get back to you but they are very helpful and nice. Build quality is excellent. It's very good looking. It fits me great but I'm very average of build. My wrist measures about 19cm around. My wife tried it, it was huge. She couldn't get the sensor to touch her wrist so she needs to do the "two finger thing". lol. Now, I have fairly hairy arms it does NOT like body hair. I shaved a tiny patch where the sensor rests on my wrist, I know I know... It works perfect every time.Hint: Hold still! It also grabs your heart rate accurately right off your wrist without the app. The results in the measurement app seem accurate and reliable. I've passed it around work and had dozens of people try under the 'guest' account. They're always amazed at what it tells them. I've seen results all over the board. It's not the end all be all, but it is a good motivator to keep yourself in check. It's really cool to get a visual result of what mood you're in and how you're able to deal with stress. I'm a lot more aware now and try to keep myself cool. I want to get in the 'Balanced' circle! Give it a try. You'll dig it. My therapist even gave her assent. ;-)UPDATE: After some time spent with the Wme, I'm still liking it. My co-workers even love to come over and measure. It's a lot of fun. Measuring works great. I'm finding that the ANS age and Agility scores are the important things to watch. The ANS age tells me how stressed I currently am and the Agility score says how able you are to deal with stress, if that makes any sense. The coaching is very hard to get right though. There seems to be a delay between your actual breath and what's shown on the screen so I have yet to score perfect.UPDATE: My device had a VERY hard time measuring my heart beat directly from my wrist. It bounces from 40 bpm to 130bpm. I had no idea what my heart rate is. Oddly, it's spot on when coaching/measuring. Secondly, the plastic part of the clip broke. I had to send it back and they replaced it. My replacement is working flawlessly.
