HP LaserJet 1200 Printer

I have owned one of these printers for about 4 years and it has never let me down. I'm not a power printer by any means but when I hit the print button I expect the machine to work and this one does without fail. So when the boss's printer gave up the ghost I purchased this one refurbished and set it up for him. Plug and Play and it was up and running in 5 minutes.It's a little slower than the newer models and I wouldn't recommend pushing 10,000 pages a day through it (although I think it could do it), but if you need a never fail reliable printer, then this may be the one for you.HP no longer makes this model so rebuilt/refurbished is all your going to find. Look for a good company with a proven track record. You will also need to purchase the toner for it, but it will generally be cheaper than the ones for the new printers (I've only changed mine once). Overall this is a great black and white printer that you'll use for years.

Printer worked great at first. The first big job I had (over 100 pages), the printer started making a horrible noise. I contacted Orion Printers, who had been very attentive to me until the 90 day warranty ran, and they wouldn't respond to my inquiries about this noise and my concerns. I wanted to give them an opportunity to help me before I contacted Amazon, because they had advised me that Amazon was about to kick them off as a distributor. That was not very intelligent on my behalf, as my time then ran out and I cannot get anyone to make good o this product. I bought this from this company and Amazon at a higher price, because I felt like buying a refurbished printer was risky. Oh, well, lesson learned, I guess. I would not recommend using this company.

I had this same model printer for years and was very satisfied with it. After 10 years and well over 100,000 pages printed my first one gave out.I bought a new printer and had more problems with it in one month than I did the HP 1200 in 10 years. I wish HP still made this printer. It is a big slower than the new models, but it is very reliable and I would gladly give up a little speed for the increased reliability.This model is also slightly bigger than the newer ones, but not by very much.I especially like the way it pulls the paper up. With paychecks you put them in face up and it is easier to have them print in order.

Printer works properly to begin with, then after a few pages have printed out paper gets stuck, have to pull that piece of paper out from the top and the next page thats going to print from the paper tray, open the toner door and shut it, then the printer starts working but have to continue this with this process, can't complain too much for it being used when I bought it.

I've had a HP 1200 Laser Jet printer for a number of years. I especially liked it because I could put twenty-five or more envelopes in the paper feed tray and print away. After fifty-five thousand printed sheets, I accidently put a clasped envelope in the printer with the clasp on the wrong side. This action caused the printer's print roller to be damaged and from that point forward it put a unwanted mark on every page printed. In spite of this mistake, I liked the printer so much, I ordered a used printer of the same model from Amazon.com. That printer arrived with thirty thousand copies made. I am now on my way to infinity with the resolve to avoid clasped envelopes in the future.

It is unusable. It is color faded. It smelled like rat feaces. It didn’t come with the tray... in short, I will just settle for trashing it...

Thank you. Good product and service. I was a bit surprised that the ink cartridge and usb wire were not included, at least I didn't see anywhere that said they were not. It was a replacement printer so I had those parts. I would have been disappointed if I needed to purchase the ink cartridge and usb cord to print anything. Thanks again.
